Texas Rangers Update: End of Season 2/Spring Training Season 3 MOM
Well season 2 came to an end. We played well down the stretch and finished at 82-80 but it wasn't enough to secure a Wild Card birth. The Houston Astros won the division while the Angels took one of the Wild Cards. Houston went on to go to the Work Series and held a 3-1 series lead before they blew it to the Washington Nationals. I am just glad it wasn't the Dodgers finally. In MLB 16 I played 3 seasons and the Dodgers went to every World Series winning 2 of them. They then went to my first one in 17 and won that one. This time Houston got them in the ALDS.
The offseason was Ok. I lost Jake Diekman. I offered him a qualified contract but he elected to leave. The one thing that killed my team last year was Starting Pitching. I was first in Baseball in Home Runs and second in total runs scored. Joey Gallo was named Rangers player of the year belting 37 dingers and totaling 99 RBI's. My team looks like this heading in to spring
