So I'm sorry if this is common knowledge but I wasn't sure what the deal is. So in RTTS I just started the 2017 season on the Brewers and there is no Ryan Braun on the team. Why is that??
    Thanks

Playing on atleast HOF difficulty helps reduce the amount of strikes you see.

I also find that even with strike frequency all the way down at 0 I see plenty of strikes, a realistic amount actually.

I'm extremely selective and pretty much try to be a worse Joey Votto in RTTS.. I don't know if you can count that as an approach lol but yeah I'm actively looking to take walks

Guys, in my experience once you change positions it's very hard to get out of it. I basically got forced to switch from SS to LF or else I'd be riding the bench. I talked with my agent for 2 seasons about switching back or getting a trade and he kept saying that they had me on team control. After 3 seasons they finally traded me but I felt like I wasted that time .

Official MLB 17 : Road to the Show Thread

Just confirmed a pretty awful bug. Not sure if it's RTTS only or not, but baserunners go missing. I hit a triple in the bottom of the 9th and was alone on 3rd when Gary Sanchez walks. I mash the X button to fast forward to the next batter and I am alone at 3rd again. Apparently, if you click X too fast or too many times, it glitches. This has happened to me multiple times in various situations. One time I was on second and someone was on first and the batter walks. I get to 3rd and batter goes to first but second base is empty. Another time I get a hard line drive hit with man on first and second too hard for man on second to score and it ends up with me on first and man on second with third base empty and score is still 0-0. I'm going to post the bug soon. Just make sure you don't mash the X to skip animations too much while on base or running to a base. I'm sure this has cost me a few runs already.

Edit: Just happened again. No one on base and I hit it up the middle for a base hit. I pressed X to skip and it skipped to me on defense with out a chance for me to run the bases. Screenshot attached of the game log. 1st inning does add up with Ellsbury flying out, me hitting a single to center then Sanchez flies out and it's 0 hit, 1 walk, 0 runners left on base.

Going on 2 weeks since, I pretty much exclusively play RF. Just hired an agent hoping they could twist their arms into putting me back to SS, disheartening to hear it might not happen. Right field is incredibly boring to me.
I started on 3B but dont like it much. The manager switched me to 1B after he asked me to then switched me back to 3B. I also had a conversation with one of the trainers asking me if I wanted to learn some new positions.

I got drafted by the Cubs but they're pretty set at first and third base so I asked to learn some outfield positions but nothing happened after that. I just hired my agent so hopefully soon I'll have the option to switch positions.

I had a similar situation except I hit a single. There was a base runner at 2nd who moved to third zero outs. I didn't get to run it skipped me back to the next at bat. Had no idea what resulted from that inning.

So after just 15 games at 3B, they call me into the office to let me know I'm going back to 2B. Which is fine. I actually think I played better defensively at 3B, but, you know..."whatever the team needs."

Still in AA with the Mississippi Braves. Hitting ~.320 with a .460 SLG%, 4 HRs, 32 RBI and 7 SBs. I don't swing at everything, but, I don't walk enough and they don't like that. They've talked to me about my "approach" at the plate multiple times lol...I just point to my BA and then my OBP and tell the coach to "take a walk"

I like this twist in RTTS from a storyline aspect, but I was a little frustrated because I never create outfielders because I hate the fielding aspect of playing outfield. But, the team I'm on really needs help in Left Field and they're pretty well set at 2nd Base and my road to the major league roster is definitely easier if I play left field. I'm playing it out to see what happens. I do like that when they moved me to left field, my secondary positions changed to include 2nd base (I already had 3B/SS as my secondary positions).

Based upon the depth chart, I'm guessing if I stick at LF I'll get called up to AAA pretty soon, but I'm pretty sure I'll just sim all fielding opportunities if I'm stuck playing LF from here on out. It's a tough sell either way in my mind. Stick with 2nd base (if given the option) and be stuck longer in AA or stay in LF but not really enjoy the game as much

I got drafted by the Royals as a SS, moved the second base, split the whole first season in AA and AAA, in Spring Training 2018, they asked me to change positions again, this time to LF. I felt like this was realistic as teams tend to try young guys out at different positions, especially in spring training. I made opening day roster, and had my first career hit against Chris Sale.

I am on the Mississippi Braves ATM on my RTTS and he is on my team. His name is Lorde Bordick. He's left me stranded in scoring position more times than I care to remember.
