We don't even have it confirmed yet if he is even in the game, just a few retro mode screen shots and a batting stance with his name in it.

Which, I believe based on legal stuff, they'd only be allowed to show if they had his rights.

I am sure they do but the question is are they allowed to put him on the default roster BEFORE he plays a MLB game and gets service time?

people asked about him about 400 times in twitch chat and they ignored all those questions which gives me doubts.

Anyway I better shut up before someone accuses me of trolling again. I hope he is in the game otherwise people won't be able to start a franchise till he is which will be a few weeks delay.

surely it'll be the same as when byung-ho park came to the twins? it took him a while to make the roster on the game.

If Ohtani isnt on the default (& I'm hundred percent positive he will be) he could be on by as soon as the first week of April.

They probably cannot discuss those things. More than likely in the minors and you have to pull him up. But we will find out soon enough.

If they follow the rules of every other MLB rookie to not yet play an MLB game...I don't see how he could be included on the default roster as an actual player?

I believe he'll get added to the game as a CAP on the roster update that happens after his debut. But they'll probably be way better choices in the player vault, unless they official one that they add has a special ability to pitch and hit.

If they just throw him into the game without having him play yet because of the hype and who he is, then I want Gleyber Torres added as well.

The MLBPA has rules and the rules apply to EVERYONE. If Mariano Rivera came out of retirement TODAY, I don't expect them to add him to the game immediately or use his official face scan just because of who he is...he'll be a generic CAP just like everyone else.

Franchise blog out and we still don’t know and don’t know i2 way player Is in.

You know he isn’t even on thr40 man yet what if the angels decided to put him in the minors then how could he legally be in the game?

From looking at the lineups it looks like we still can't put a pitcher at DH, our only hope now is if Othani will show up to put in the lineups otherwise yeah we can only pinch hit with him.

Maybe change his position to 1B so you can DH him and then change it back to SP when his turn would come up in the rotation?

Unless they change something this year, you can't change a pitchers primary position to a fielder and vice versa.

someone pointed out earlier in this thread their was a exportable player that has this for MLB the show 17 but it still didn't show up in the lineup screen.

if something has changed they might actually work in mlb 18 I guess we will find out in 7 days time

Just watching the parts I missed. when they said take a screenshot of Mike trouts face, I wonder if the real reason for that was for us to see Otanhi and not Trout it was very cheeky the way it was done.
