    October 8: Javelinas 7, Aliens 1
    October 10: Javelinas 6, Aliens 2
    October 11: Javelinas 6, Aliens 3

In game two it was all San Antonio behind a strong pitching performance from Andres Montoya. He pitched 8.2 innings, allowing one run on five hits while striking out four and walking one as the Javelinas evened the series at one game apiece. Brian Gonzalez went 2 for 4 with a triple and three runs batted in to help lead San Antonio to the 7-1 victory.

The Javelinas took game three on the road with a 6-2 victory. Greg Hunter went 2 for 4 with a double, home run and four RBIs to help lead the Javelinas to a 2-1 series lead. Ted McClendon (1-0) pitched eight innings allowing two runs on just two hits. He struck out two and walked four. The Aliens scored their two runs on a first inning Damien Hudson two-run home run.

San Antonio defeated Roswell 6-3 to take their MLDS series three games to one. A four run fourth inning thanks to a Lamb grand slam was the difference as the Javelinas advanced to the Mountain League Championship Series.

The Javelinas hit three home runs in the game as they won the last three games on the series after dropping the opener.

October 7: Silver Bullets 4, Snow Sox 3
October 8: Snow Sox 2, Silver Bullets 1
October 10: Silver Bullets 5, Snow Sox 3
October 11: Snow Sox 6, Silver Bullets 4
October 13: Snow Sox 10, Silver Bullets 3

Donny Craig’s RBI double in the bottom of the ninth scored Richie Guerrero with the game winner in the bottom of the ninth as the Silver Bullets took game one. D’Marcus Peterson went 1 for 4 with a two-run home run in the fifth inning for Santa Fe.

In game two, the Snow Sox rebounded with a 2-1 victory to even the series heading back to Colorado Springs. Jason Watts went 3 for 4 and drove in Russ Jay with the go ahead run in the seventh inning to help pace the Snow Sox to victory. Mike Stoneridge (1-0) pitched eight innings, allowing one unearned run, while striking out seven and walking just one to pick up the win.

Santa Fe grabbed game three with a 5-3 victory on the road. Ryan Williams went 2 for 4 with a home run and three RBIs to help lead the Silver Bullets to the win. Santa Fe hit three home run in the game with solo home runs from Joel Valdez and Corey Barton. Mike Rock hit two doubles and drove in two in the losing effort for the Snow Sox.

The Snow Sox avoided elimination with a 6-4 victory over the Silver Bullets on Tuesday evening. They rallied from a 3-0 deficit to grab game four and send the series back to Santa Fe for the deciding game five. Mike Rock went 2 for 4 with a home run and two RBIs to help pace the Snow Sox to the victory.

The Snow Sox won the deciding game five with a big late rally as they defeated Santa Fe 10-3 to move onto the MLCS. They scored seven times in the seventh inning to erase a 3-2 deficit and punch their ticket to the championship series.

Juan Caceras hit a grand slam to key the rally and Austin homered and drove in three to help key the Snow Sox to the victory.

Is there a trick in franchise mode to prevent players from retiring? Im building a custom roster and would want the random players to retire instead of my custom players. All of my custom players have 10 year deals, but still retire over the random players. One potential fix is to make every random player 45 years old, but does anybody else have any recomendations? Does giving them a higher salary make it less likely they will retire? Some of their ratings are very low and reitre because of ability, but was thinking maybe if I give them higher salries they would be less likely to retire.

        Thanks!

If their ratings are low and they are retiring due to ability, I think the only resolution will be to increase their ratings. But that's not a guarantee.

Unfortunately the way the rosters as a whole are constructed, x amount of players need to retire each year so that incoming draft picks can populate roster spots. So I don't know that there is a definitive solution in preventing a player from retiring.

Thanks. I try to edit all draft pick to age 45 so the next season they retire and maybe less of my own retire

After the Hilliard trade fell through, we acquired Billy McKinney from the Brewers. Not a sexy move, but he's a decent left-handed bat for the bench and reserve outfielder. Josh Rojas was optioned to Gwinnett to make room on the roster. We want Rojas to get some playing time; he had one at-bat over the first 10 games this season.

Jackie Bradley Jr. was flipped to the Brewers in the deal.

Pretty happy with my team at this point. Last season was fun, but felt like a super team at times. I've got a nice mix of stars, rookies and role players this year. We're 6-5 with two more games to go against the Marlins this series. Right now, we're 5-0 against the Marlins and 1-5 against the Mets/Nationals.

Offense finally woke up in our last game, a 14-3 win. Acuna has three homers in his last two games. Contreras hit his first career homer, Riley and Joc are raking, Harris is on a hot streak. Albies and Freeman are still slumping though. And the bullpen, a strength last year, is a bit of a mess.

Can't believe I'm saying this, but I wish I would've made this switch sooner.

I am having an absolute blast playing with the universal DH. While some strategy is removed another enters as I don't have that "easy out" to rely on with the pitcher in the lineup, therefore forcing me to re-think how I'm attacking certain hitters in certain situations.

I'm just in Spring Training of my reboot but damn am I enjoying this. Its like having a new game.

Oh and the first AB I had with Pujols in Spring Training, a 447 FT bomb off of Justin Verlander.

Have you added Contreras to your lineup?

Cardinals take opening series against Pirates in Pittsburgh

The Cardinals (2-1) won the opening series of the 2022 season against the Pirates in Pittsburgh. The Cardinals won Thursday and Saturday, but were unable to secure the sweep on Sunday.

Jack Flaherty got the ball on Opening Day and was brilliant throwing 7 innings of 1 run, 4 hit ball with 7 strikeouts against 2 walks. Paul Goldschmidt and Nolan Arenado were the offense each earning 2 hits with an RBI. Tyler O'Neill and Dylan Carlson each chipped in an RBI as the Cardinals would win 4-1.

Adam Wainwright got the ball on Saturday and he didn't have to be all that great, but he was, as the offense exploded for 11 runs on 16 hits. Nolan Arenado would pace the offense with a 4 for 5 day that included 2 homeruns and 5 RBIs. The Cardinals won 11-2.

Sunday saw Steven Matz take the ball and he would get thru 6 innings but the offense just wasn't there. Matz allowed 3 runs on 7 hits, but a big 2 run bomb by Roberto Perez would knock him out of the game and earn him the loss. Yadier Molina had a perfect 4 for 4 day with an RBI.

The Cardinals will now travel to Chicago for a brief 2 game series with the Cubs before their home opener against the Pirates on Friday.

I'll give a proper update to my 2026 Jays Frantasy Draft Franchise but my god for the 2nd straight year Mookie gonna be out for the playoffs, this time torn achilles tendon. He was having a such a great season, bummer.

For the 2nd straight season, the Tigers defeat the Jays in the ALDS this time a sweep 3-0. With Ohtani No-Hitter in game 3.

Last year the Tigers beat the Jays 3-1 in the ALDS. They went on to lose to Vladdy and the Rangers in the ALCS. The Reds ended up winning the world series. The Reds have a pretty stacked roster but failed to make the playoffs this season, they started the season slow 5-22 but still managed to finish above .500 with 84 wins.

In the offseason the biggest signings were: Yordon Alvarez going to the Astros, Vladdy signing with the Jays.

In the offseason, I signed back Luis Urias from FA and also got Vladdy in day 1 of Free Agency.

The team won 102 games this season, it saw the rookie seasons from Bo Cohen and Jess Walker. Bo ended up winning ROTY even though Jess Walker had the better season but he was brought up at the trade deadline as Sixto Sanchez was traded for a prospect pitcher Santiago Puliado.

This season saw Stanton and Tim Anderson attributes regress. Stanton is now going to be 37 in the final year of his contract, he has been a legend for the Jays but I think it's going to be time to move on from him. Not sure what happened to Tim Anderson he was injured mid 2025 but after he cameback never the same, even ended up giving him a 5 year deal 11M AAV, but he has flopped.

I traded Frank Schwindel and Bobby Pepper for 23 yr old catcher from the rebuilding orioles Harry Ford (86 OVR now 88). But his batting vision sucks, he strikes out too much. Tyler Stephenson is my current day to day catcher but he is asking for too much 15m AAV, I may just let him walk and move on.

Mookie Betts had a good season up until he tore his Achilles. It's going to be an interesting off season, it may be time to move on from the old veterans Stanton and Betts, or possibly keep Mookie and get another good RF. Right now in my farm system I have a 78 OVR RF Joey Weimer but he has been w.e.

My starting pitching is absolutely stacked. It feels amazing that my entire rotation is now guys I either drafted or traded when they were young and developed (Shane Baez).

I wish I could post some pictures, I don't know whats the easiest way to get pictures from the PS5 on here.

Edit: The Tigers ended up winning the World Series beating the Braves in game 7!

I think I remember reading that you play on legend using meter pitching and zone hitting. Curious...do you get enough hitting and scoring from both you and the cpu? I've always used classic and timing, but after 200+ games I'm just not seeing enough consistent run production and I'm thinking about changing interfaces. Alot of folks have had this problem on 22, so I'm interested in what kind of results you're getting. Thanks
