In 2015 in my Oakland A's franchise. I missed the playoffs my first 2 years, then beat the Reds in the World Series, but lost to them the next year in the World Series. My team isn't the best ratings wise but we seem to get the job done. If only there was a stadium creator so I could get out of the Coliseum haha.

Agreed...the coliseum and the trop are the two ugliest places to play professional baseball

i have a 4-3 lead 2 outs top 7th javy lopez comes in gives up hits to loney and ethier

then marcus thames hits 2run double

tejada game tying hr in 7th off kuo

brian wilson is perfect in saves but in tie games sucks he gives up run

amd btw during that inning freddy sanchez gets hurt diving for a ball
(just like IRL) 2-3 months FTW

at least it gives my fav player in the game (emmanuel burris) the starting job who was 3-4 2 sb and 3 great plays in this game at 3b

so off of jonathon broxton tejada hits a walk off 2 run jack

his first 2 homers of the season

Re: MLB 11 The Show "Franchise/Season" Progress Thread

Into my second season with the D-backs, I am 11-3 so far. My team ERA is right around 2.5 and hitting is phenomenal. One of the only drawbacks is that Dan Johnson started out being the starting 1st Basemen but after a few weeks batting .081 I opted to start Yonder Alonso (.343 4 HRs) at first and bench Johnson for a few days.

              A few other things....
Alonso smashed 3 of his 4 homeruns in one game at Washington, and flew out to the warning track his last A-B.
Wade LeBlanc has been pitching GREAT, and looks to be a dominant lefty throughout the year.
Rickie Weeks and Drew Stubbs have started the month of April cold, however split 8 homeruns between each other.
              Kemp for NL MVP
              Montero for AL ROY

I'm in the beginning of August with the Braves, and a screen pops up to show the leaders of the MVP, ROY, ect... and I notice that for ROY, Michael Pineda is leading with the following stats: 9.000 batting average, 3 home runs, and a cool 146 RBI's. Freddie Freeman has no chance.

II am in year 2022 in my Marlins sim franchise. Many of my players are drafted after 2011 and therefore fake but I still have some notable guys like Levon Washington, Mike Stanton, Hanley Ramirez, Shelby Miller, Carlos Martinez, Chad James, Sean West . . . I also have. Killer bullpen with Aroldis Chapman, Chris Sale, Jeremy Jeffries, Tyler Clippard and Edward Mujica. I am thinking about tearing down and rebuilding just for fun since it has been really easy to make the playoffs.

The thing I love about my franchise is realism. I have 30 team roster control and put CPU trades off. I also don't let CPU teams sign free agents until they are open to all teams because too many times teams will sign all their players and thre wont be any good fa. Its cool how players will stay on their teams for a while instead of getting traded all the time.

I have had to get rid of many key and long tenured players in my franchise, such as when I traded Josh Johnson for Kyle Gibson, Levon Washington and Miguel Sano. That trade has been a major steal since all three have turned into allstars. In my first year I traded Nolasco, Brad Hand and Vazquez for Shelby Miller and Carlos Martinez, who are now my two best pitchers.

Mets update: finished my regular season, I clinched on a walk off HR by Jason Bay, which was pretty cool. My stats were nothing crazy. Ike/Wright/Bay/ all hit between 20-30 bombs. Reyes swiped 50 bases and batted around .270, Niese won 15 games, K-Rod saved 51 (ok that is kind of crazy). No one reached 100 RBI. Parnell was lights out as a setup man, and Capuano was awesome as my swingman.

I always enjoy the last game of season the season, as I play all minor leaguers. Viciedo and Mejia were the stars, as Carp and Laird played well too (snagged both off waivers). Too bad i had a bullpen meltdown and lost the game.

Thanks to the wonders of videogames, I can take my Mets to the playoffs. I will be facing The Brewers in the first round. My playoff rotation is: Johan/Niese/Dickey/Pelf. Time to bring a ring to Queens

I finished the 1st year of my Nationals franchise losing to the Rockies in game 7 of the NLCS. We were up 3 games to 1 and I literally pooped the bed - blew a 6-1 lead in game 6 and made 5 errors in game 7 and lost 8-0. What a terrible way to go out – I feel so dejected at the moment. I really wanted to restart that last game, but knew I would feel dirty and would probably induce self-destructive behavior that I’d never fully live down. Okay, that may be a slight exaggeration, but I am extremely disappointed to say the least.

I was hoping to get a CF heading into the off-season, but came up short. Most big FA resigned with their team – Bautista and Fielder remained with TOR and MIL, respectively.

I’m heading into the 2nd year of my franchise with Roger Bernadina playing CF – nothing against Roger, but he just doesn’t instill a ton of excitement. I let Ankiel go after hitting 28 HR, he regressed by 3 points and I didn’t want to pay him. He’s currently sitting in the FA pool.

I really didn’t do a whole lot this off-season – I’m hoping to remain competitive during the season (I sim the majority of my games) and make some deals at the dead-line for a 3/4/5 starter and OF help.

Andre Ethier is on the block, but I don’t have anything the Dodgers are interested in at the moment. I hoping the Dodgers are terrible this year and attempt to give up either Matt Kemp or Ethier – I’ll also have my sights on BJ Upton.
