I did, lol. I don't think there's anything more frustrating. I mean I doubt I would have been able to take one or both of those no-hitters all the way, but it would have been nice to lose it legitimately instead of the CPU laying down a damn bunt of all things.

Have any of you Met fans out there try to rebuild this team. I want to do this, but I need a little help. For those of you that have done this, did you guys, call up all of the Mets top prospects to the Major Leagues and then trade away the players that are on the team today. Or let's say every year or two, you would bring up a prospect when one of the player's on the team contract expired? I just want to hear how you guys did this. Re: MLB 11 The Show "Franchise/Season" Progress Thread
Seattle drops a heartbreaker to first-place Oakland, 4-2. With the loss, the Mariners now sit 5.5 games back of the A's in the AL West with 51 games to go. I was up 2-0 and appeared in control as King Felix was dealing, but, after giving up a solo HR to Alex Rios (A's traded for a bunch of guys, including Werth) that cut the lead in half, I went to my usually steady bullpen. Manny Delcarmen, who made the All-Star team, gave up a 3-run HR to Kevin Kouzmanoff on a hanging changeup.
In the 9th, I had the winning run at the plate with no outs, but couldn't get that key hit off Bailey.
I should mention that I was pretty active in the trade market before the deadline passed. I dealt away Miguel Olivo, Milton Bradley and Adam Kennedy. I had Cust and Figgins (both are playing well for me) on the block, but didn't receive any offers for either player.
I'll post my new lineup when I play my next game (sorry, can't remember all the moving pieces right now).Currently Playing:

The Mariners took two of three from Toronto, two of three from Boston and so far we are even against the Yankees with Felix Hernandez on the hill. I hate losing and I hate the Yankees so losing to them drives me nuts, but being eight game up on the Rangers, I need to stay calm.
Here's my current lineup.
CF Ichiro
3B Chone Figgans
DH Justin Smoak
1B Adam Lind
LF Jason Kubel / Franklin Gutierrez
RF Milton Bradley
2B Jack Wilson / Dustin Ackley
C - Miguel Olivo
SS - Brendan RyanEPL - Arsenal
MLB - Seattle Mariners
NBA - Cleveland Cavaliers
NFL - Philadelphia Eagles
MLS - Seattle Sounders

Re: MLB 11 The Show "Franchise/Season" Progress Thread
OK, here's a look at my lineups with the Mariners:
vs. RHP
1. Ichiro, RF
2. Chone Figgins, 3B
3. Justin Smoak, 1B
4. Jack Cust, DH
5. Michael Saunders, LF (took over when I traded Bradley to Fla.)
6. Franklin Gutierrez, CF
7. Dustin Ackley, 2B
8. Osvaldo Martinez, SS (acquired in the Bradley/Kennedy trade)
9. Josh Bard, C (moved up when I traded Olivo to Stl. for 3B Zach Cox, a B potential who had 15 HRs in Double A when I made the trade)
Bench:
Johermyn Chavez, RF
Greg Halman, CF
Adam Moore, C
Brendan Ryan, SS
vs. LHP
1. Ichiro, RF
2. Figgins, 3B
3. Gutierrez, CF
4. Smoak, 1B
5. Chavez, LF
6. Halman, DH
7. Martinez, SS
8. Bard, C
9. Ackley, 2B
Bench:
Cust, 1B
Moore, C
Ryan, SS
Saunders, LF
Pitching rotation:
1. Felix Hernandez
2. Jhoulys Chacin (acquired right before the All-Star Game for Eric Bedard)
3. Michael Pineda
4. Jason Vargas
5. Doug Fister
Bullpen:
LRP: David Pauley
MRP: Jamey Wright, Dan Cortes, Josh Lueke
SU: Brandon League, Manny Delcarmen
CP: David Aardsma
The lineup has changed quite a bit from Opening Day. It was hard getting rid of Miguel Olivo (I became a fan of his last year when he was with the Rockies. I wish CO had kept him, too) but I couldn't pass up the chance to get a solid 3B prospect, especially one that is showing good power in Double A. Olivo was barely hitting over .200, so I felt comfortable going with a Bard/Moore platoon for the rest of the year. I'll look to sign a FA in the off-season to fill that position, more than likely.
Milton Bradley did have 13 home runs for me, but his average was decreasing each month and he'd only driven in 39 runs hitting primarily out of the No. 5 spot. I really like Martinez at SS; he was never going to play in Fla. with Ramirez there, so I'm happy to have him. He's got good range, a strong arm and handles himself well at the dish. I included Adam Kennedy in the deal because I didn't have room for him anymore, as I have Ackley already up at the MLB level and Nick Franklin has been up to spell guys on the DL twice, and I can see him challenging Ramirez for playing time next year.
The Chacin trade was a surprise as CO offered it to me. Bedard was having a bad year, with an ERA around 6, so I was more than happy to pick up the youngster, Chacin, who gives us a nice 1-2-3 of Hernandez-Chacin-Pineda going forward.
Johermyn Chavez is a B potential that was killing it in Triple A, so I brought him up, along with Greg Halman to beefen up the outfield depth. Ryan Langerhans was demoted to Triple A to make room for these guys. I could see my outfield being Saunders-Gutierrez-Chavez in a couple of years.
I did have Figgins on the block, but wasn't looking to trade him. I know he's been terrible for the Marines in real life, but in my game, he's been awesome, hitting just under .300 and has stolen 35 bases. Cox will be the future 3B, but for now, Figgins works for me.
Given that I was still in the division race, it was a tough call to make all of these moves. I could've kept the roster in tact and made a run at Oakland, and who knows, I may still catch them as I'm only 5.5 games back. But, being 14 games out of the Wild Card (the AL East teams are killing it) made it a little easier to look towards the future. I feel like I have good depth at pretty much every position aside from catcher.
I'm looking forward to finishing up the regular season. Let's see if I can catch the A's (the Angels are tied with us for 2nd place) and make the playoffs.Currently Playing:

Re: MLB 11 The Show "Franchise/Season" Progress Thread
After trying to play with Opening Day rosters, I went ahead and re-started again with the Mets. This time, I'm using Ridin' trade deadline set. I think for Mets fans, this is a good way to go. The only change I made was to activate Ike Davis (he's in Single A on the set b/c he's injured in real life).
However, i did not do a good job rebuilding the rotation. Dickey unexpectedly retired and the damn Phillies outbid me for Edwin Jackson. I received Humber/Viciedo/Flowers from the ChiSox for Beltran. I have Flowers and Thole platooning at catching and Humber as my #4 starter. My rotation is Johan/Niese/Gee/Humber/Harvey. I am a little fuzzy on my bullpen but i believe i have Dontralle as my swingman, Parnell and Bucholz setting up for Jon Rauch. Brad Holt, Beato and i forgot the name of my lefty.
I went with some homegrow talent for my position players. Ike,Wright,Reyes and Bay are still there. The aforementioned Flowers/Thole platoon catching. in CF i have one my favorite Met prospects Kirk Nieunheis (messed up spelling), and at 2nd I have handed the job to Johnny Valdespin. I can't remember my bench as of this moment.
I definitley could use a burner in CF and a solid #3 starter (tho some of the kiddies might fill that). Considering flipping Viciedo for a speedy CF and shifting Captain Kirk to RF.
As much as i was looking forward to the offseason stuff...phew! it is exhausting..but fun lolComment

I am actually in middle of my rebuild the Mets project. I let Pagan, Pelfrey, Byrdak, and Pridie walk. as long with a few other spare parts. During the season i scooped up Mike Carp and Brandon Laird off waivers to improve depth in the minors.

Re: MLB 11 The Show "Franchise/Season" Progress Thread
Yeah that what i was going to do. Let go evrybody when their contract expires except for the core guys like Ike, Wright, Bay, and Reyes. My future rotation is going to be Gee, Wheeler, Harvey, Mejia, Familia. Then have "Captain Kirk" in CF, F-Mart in Right, Bay in Left, Then bring up Wilmer Flores and put him at 2B.Comment

I think you are doing a good job so far. I'm sure as you enter Year 2 there will be opportunities for you to bolster the back-end of the starting rotation with some trades or free agents.Currently Playing:

SO I'm pitching with Jair Jurrjens against the Twins and everything is going well. First 5 innings, PERFECT. Then he give up a long shot to Delmon Young for the Twins and fell apart after that giving up 3 homeruns and 6 runs to the next 5 batters. We were winning 5-0. Ended up winning 7-6 though, thanks to a 2 run shot by Freddie Freeman in the 9th.ST. LOUIS RAMS FRANCHISE (MADDEN 2010)

Carp is a good pickup. I would've personally kept Pagan (I like him), but it's not a huge loss letting him go. The top half of your rotation is good, and the infield is solid.
