To the above poster - He stated with the D-Backs and won the WS. That team looks great man, another title is in your future.

In Mariners new, I hit for the freaking cycle with Milton Bradley. A triple in the first against the Padres, an HR, a double and then a single in a 14-3 win. That dude is batting a .336 with 7 HR and 32 RBI. Just incredible.

Jason Kubel is right with him, batting a .336 with 8 HR and 22 RBI. Figgins is hitting a .311 with 13 RBI and 20 SB. So far, Seattle is 32-15, just two games up over Texas. The Padres are really helping, as they are just not strong enough to beat my league leading pitching staff.

I am just so pumped...a bit drunk...but pumped about the cycle. First time I've ever done that in a baseball game. Now...the perfect game remains.

      MLB - Seattle Mariners
      NBA - Cleveland Cavaliers
      NFL - Philadelphia Eagles
      MLS - Seattle Sounders

After beating the Red Sox to avoid the sweep I went on to sweep the Angels and have now won the first two against the Rays (so I am now 5-6 against the Rays, 7-5 against the Red Sox) I now have a 6 game winning streak in the second week of August that is the longest win streak I have had this season. I am now in first place one game ahead but still have a game left against the Rays. Both games were close.

Is it possible for your pitchers to have playoff hangover? Cuz the two pitchers I relied on the most to get me to the world series (Trevor Cahill and Clayton Richard) have been completely awful (both eras over 5) while Jacob turner who pitched about 8 innings in the playoffs cuz I thought he was young And inconsistant is completely dominant (5-0 1.51 era)?

Just beat the Yankees 7-4, Dillon Gee with the win, Chris carpenter with the loss, Starlin Castro and Adam Lind Castro went 4-5 and Lind went 4-4. Both had one double, Lind also homered and had 4 RBI's, Pedro Ciriaco hit a solo homer, and Rickie Weeks hit 2 homers. All homers were solo shots. Ciriaco's was a first pitch swing that went 444 ft. Buster Posey had a throwing error that brought in 2 unearned runs. Vance Worley got the hold for me and Barry Zito got the save.(Ferdinand Hidalgo, the only closer in my organization is hurt for 2 months with a broken hand.) My rotation changed to: Ace: Jon Lester #2: Ricky Romero #3: Tim Stauffer #4: Jhoulys Chacin #5: Dillon Gee Curently 7.5 games back 29-31. 2.5 back in wild card. Just traded 36 year old Roy Halladay in a contract year, for Ricky Romero and Tim Stauffer they combined were 3.9M less than Halladay. which means even if my budget is unchanged I'll have about 18M to spend. I'm going to sim the rest of the year, just because I'm anxious to see how this team does without me playing.

Ok my Yankee Franchise will still be my main one because I am a die hard Yankee fan, but I also started a side Franchise, I wanted to get a team that doesn't really do much generally and try to get them to win a world series, At first I couldn't think who, but the game itself decided for me, since you get a trophy for winning world series with Cubs I chose the cubs. I will not play Cubs franchise as often as I play my Yankee franchise but anyways here is my roster for the Cubs Franchise (I made a few trades, and then skipped Spring Training)

                      Fictional Franchise
                      Manage only Mode
                      New York Mets(20-5)
                      Home Stadium: Polo Grounds

Well the pendulum has swung back for the Mets who have witnessed their third series sweep in a row. After sweeping Houston and then getting swept by Arizona, the Mets rebounded and took the three game series from the last place Washington Nationals at Griffith Stadium.
After winning games one and two handily(5-0 and 6-2) game three was a see-saw battle which ended in 10 innings on a RBI double by Met 3B Eddie Collins(2-4, 2B 2RBI).
The Mets gave starter Jordan Huff(1-2) the lead in the 7th, but setup man Greg Booth gave up a go ahead 2 run homer to National 2B Joey Mead in the bottom of the inning. The Mets tied it in the ninth and went ahead in the 10th.
Met closer, Wade Slinger(10 saves) struck out 2 in the 10th for his league leading 10th save.
The Mets move on to Philadelphia to complete the short road trip and then host the 2nd place S.F. Giants at home.

                      Transaction News:
The Mets send down C L. Sams and call up 3B/1B Mort Brewster
The Mets send down SS Pepper Burres and called up P Kurt Hudson.
"We've been caught short in the pen a few times now and this early in the season is not the time to be stretching our staff" said Met manager M. Knight.
"Pepper needs some AB's to straighten himself out and with Bennett(SS Colin Bennett) hitting near .300 and Pepper at .100...that wasn't happening up here. We have Winters(2B Charles Winters) as a backup SS for now.
"With Brewster, we now have a real backup for Talley at 1B".

Hard to tell what happened, but my offense awoke against the Padres. 14 runs in the first game, six in the second and seven in the third. Ichiro is down for 2-3 weeks so that really hurts us in the speed department, but it allows me to have Kubel, Mr. Cycle - Milton Bradley - and Guti in their at the same time, so the power is a bit better.

On to face the Twins, who dominated me at Safeco last time.

                          Just another note...

In game 2 of the series with Washington....I noticed that my LF Hank Borders and my RF Richard Bryant were both low on energy. I got the notice to replace Borders at the lineup screen from my coach(they both were close) and I ignored it.
Three errors in that game by my Mets...2 by Borders....a dropped fly ball and a throwing error after MISPLAYING the ball off the wall(rare...but it does happen...I gotta get them to increase the misplays)...and a bobble by my 2B.

I should listen to my coaches more. ....we won anyway..haha!

Ya that's exactly what you need to do to build a team that's how you win world series titles. You arent going to win w/ a world series with a bad team un less you play on rookie when you should be on a higher difficulty.

I know Geovany Soto was definitely one of them which is why I went to acquire Kurt Suzuki afterwards, of course I believe there were one or two prospects involved as well, can't exactly remember who though.
