I never said Jeter was overrated, but the Gold Glove is. Jeter is a below average defensive shortstop at this point in his career. He definitely can still hit though.

Started a new franchise with The Royals with Beaves rosters...

Killer. Love that team. Getting rid of Moore-ons trash was so much fun. Cain and Mike Moustakous are...so so awesome.

Now if only I could find a taker for Jeff Francoeur...

Just picked up the game and started an A's chise. I traded Gio Gonzalez to Boston for Dice-K. I also traded Chris Carter and Dallas Braden to the White Sox for Adam Dunn, Mark Buehrle, and Jaun Pierre. I lost my first game 1-6. I lost my second 4-1 with my only run on a solo shot by Hideki Matsui. I'm lacking offense right now.

Hey guys not sure if this is the right place to ask Franchise questions but how do you view your team's total player expenditure/budget? When I check budget it shows coaches budget scouts budget advertising cost etc etc but no actual player budget?

Re: MLB 11 The Show "Franchise/Season" Progress Thread

I'm doing a 14 game season with the Twins until rosters come out, they just seem like a fun team to play as.

First game is vs Toronto, and it starts off good. I have a runner on 1st in the 1st inning with one out, and Mauer smacks a double, so it's runners on 2nd and 3rd. The next two guys strike out and it was all downhill from there.

Liriano went 4 innings, giving up 4 runs and getting tossed after I retaliated and drilled someone in the numbers after they hit two of my guys. I was losing 4-0, then 5-0, then I finally got a run on an RBI single in the 6th. Then I hit a 2 run homer to cut the deficit to 6-3, and they ended up getting 2 more runs and I fell 8-3.

I ended up with only 7 hits, but I was getting 1-hit into the 6th and I struck out 15 times in the game. I need some work. I gave up 3 homeruns. Delmon Young had a decent game, he had a wall ball double, a nice running catch, and robbed Jose Bautista of extra bases on what would've been a hit high off the wall in left. I timed it correctly and made a nice jumping grab.

You must not know the A's very well. Gio for Daisuke was a terrible trade. Gio is looking at possibly being the ace of the staff, is young, and has huge upside. Daisuke will only get worse. What were you thinking man? Your second trade is interesting though. Where do you plan to play Dunn and Pierre?

I just started my franchise today. I started as the Cubs because I am looking a challenge plus the trophy. I started off on a bad note though because I lost the season opener to the Pirates 5-3.

Ugh...The Stanks just took 2 of 3 from me at home. The first game, Boston's bats were crazy and I scored 12 runs. The next two games....a total of 3 runs. So frustrating. I then recovered and took 2 of 3 from the Rays. Agon is absolutley raking. He has hit 6 homers in the last 10 games and has 15 RBI. Right now, Boston sits in 3rd place behind the Yanks and Rays.

Nice, I would have never figured the Rays are ahead of you though.

Yeah I know. The a's looked interesting. I kind of just traded for him because He was big a few years back. In my 3rd game Dunn hit a walk off bomb in the 10th inning to win 3-1. Harden played great. I'm having Duun play about2 thirds of our games at first while Barton plays the other third. Pierre will play backup for right and center. Dice-k is starting my next game. I'll see how it goes.

So I am an absolute animal with Posada (Always have been in past baseball games, really wish I knew why) but A-rod & Teix on the other hand...

Both batting in the .190s at the 10th game of the season..152 More! Gardner has been horrible as my lead off man but I am sticking with my boy.

Me two, except exchange life with work (long, long work day Wednesday) and beer (St. Patty's) and NCAA basketball (had an all afternoon lunch planned with my boss and a few vendors today for a long time). If I sober up, I'll play sometome tonight.

I am 1-4 now, after beating the A's 7-4 and then losing 6-1. Still can't hit, luckily I can take a walk and for one game anyway, I had some clutch hits.
