A's franchise here...

6-4 record so far.. team stats look really really good, im loving it.. all default except fielders speed and arm streangh -4

Avg: .256
ERA: 4.58

HR: 9
2b: 24
3b: 2
SB: 5

My team Leaders so far:

HR- Matsui 4
ERA- Harden 1.12
Avg: Coco Crisp .328
2b: Coco Crisp/Whillingham 5
3b: Coco Crisp 2
SB: Coco Crisp 4

My bullpen is fantastic! Balfour, Fuentes, Bailey, Wuertz... couldnt ask for more... the rotation is also really good.. so any 3-4 runs i score makes for a very good chance of a W

Cool A's franchise. So who made it on the team as your 5th starter? What lineup are you running with? How fun is it to hit with Matsui? Does Matsui's card have a picture with Angels uniform or Yankee? Keep us posted.

Damn it now I feel gulity for trading them lol. Now I gotta start all over. Nah, its more of a personal thing with me and Pujols and a money factor. I still may start over now lol.

I don't have any issues with Pujols, I would pay him anything he wanted, he is ne best damn baseball player I ever saw and m 32 years old.

Harden made it as my 5th starter, im pitching incredibly well with him, so far in 2 starts he is 1-0 1.12ERA 12inn 16k 4bb... really good, couldnt ask for more from him as he is by far my best starter so far, i think that if he stays healthy(and heres the tricky part) he will be huge for us.

My current lineup is:

1-Crisp .328/1 HR/5 2B/2 3B/4 SB
2-Barton .261/1 HR/2 2B
3-De Jesus .258/1 HR/1 2B
4-Matsui .236/4 HR/ 2 2B
5-Whillingham .309/2 HR/ 5 2B
6-Suzuki .311/1 HR/ 3 2B
7-Kouzmanoff .208/0 HR/ 0 2B
8-Ellis .288/0 HR/3 2B
9-Pennington .219/0 HR/1 2B/ 1 SB

So far so good, Matsui is having a good start powerwise with this line:
.236 4 HR 2 2b 6 RBI

He might not be the old Godzila but in a lightweight lineup like we have its definatly great to hit with him.. i dont remember correctly but i think his picture has him in red...

I started an Indians Franchise. They aren't that good but, its a rebuilding season. Im 1-7 Ive been keeping them close but ive blown a few leads thus far but mostly have to come from behind to win. Indians defense is 4th but pitching is stupid horrible and 28th overall rank. Any good ideas for some trades to help get me closer. BTW i Signed Ben Sheets out of FA.

Hey CB, how are the computers for spring training? are they leaving all thier guys in? Lettings the pitchers go 4 then using others for the rest of the game?

The computer only let their starters go 3 innings then they start switching pitchers out alot and switch in back-ups at postions through out the game. Its pretty cool...

I don't have any issues with Pujols, I would pay him anything he wanted, he is ne best damn baseball player I ever saw and m 32 years old.

Only thing is his best 10 years are behind him, he will not have a better 10 years moving forward than his first 10, count on it. Remember he has elbow problems and will need "Tommy John" type surgury soon and that will take a year to heal. Just remember that, but this is a video game so that won't matter.

the cpu does a great job of managing its roster for ST. Starters go anywhere from 2-4 innings than its a new pitcher each inning after.

Starters in the field play until the 6th inning typically before being subbed.

I restarded my Padres season only to be swept by St. Louis. 2-1, 2-1, 4-2. I cannot get any offense going. And in both of the 2-1 games I held them scoreless after the second inning. I know I am going to have to pull in a bat in order to become successful.

Here's my two cents:

- I simmed a season and the trade logic looked pretty solid, haven't jumped into the offseason yet, but you definitely had sellers and buyers.

-Love the ticker and new scoreboards, of course if we have to use 30 team control it nulls these two additions, or at least I've found it does.

So here's the dilemma, I'm not worried about the 2014 bug as I usually don't go through more than two seasons at most anyways, but I really like the new ticker and would like to go without 30 man control.

What's the simplest way to keep the lineup logic correct and not use 30 team control? Last year I used 30 team control to ix the lineups/40 man, and to kill any bad trades. This year I think I only need it for lineup/roster management.

I'm guessing I could set the 25 man rosters prior to spring training and do it that way, or just before each game, grab control of the CPU's team and fix their lineup.

Any ideas?

Did you try simming all games that day before playing yours? I haven't tested it myself yet, but I thought I heard that it would work.

I think so but, that's just a guess.

I'm still waiting on a) my game to get here and b) The OS Full Minors before I start my official franchise. Last year I went with Houston in the National Leauge for the challenge and those bad*** throw-backs. This year, I'm definitly going with an American League team and I think I have it narrowed down between the A's and the Indians. It looks like my game won't arrive until Monday so, I've got the weekend (plus the wait on the rosters) to decide.

I posed this same question to Ramone, about whether the most likely fix would be via patch (good) or roster update (bad...very bad).

He mentioned that they would do their best to fix it (then I asked this), and as far as I can tell, he hasn't specifically answered it.

Honestly, I can't bare to read through that thread, so I've been 'skimming' it for his name. I could have missed any official response, to be fair.

I am 3-1 in my Dodgers franchise. Beat down Lincecum in the first game, scoring 5 runs on him, on route to a 8-4 win.

Game 2, I lost 3-0 against Matt Cain who just dominated me, I could only get 2 hits, both by Uribe.

Game 3, I won 2-0 thanks to a 2 run HR by Barajas, Lilly pitched a 3 hit shutout.

Game 4, I went down 2-0 early, but managed to tie it 2-2, in the 7th. The game went to the 12th when I got a 3-0 fastball from Javier Lopez to Juan Uribe who drove it right over the outreached arm of Mark DeRosa.

So far my pitching is stellar, including the bullpen. The offense is struggling, but I blame that on the Giants staff.

I'm doing a fantasy draft anyways so I threw the idea about perfect rosters out of the window. I just don't want to get caught up with it.

I do appreciate what the guys do though, I just like to use all players that I like.

I was on the edge of going this route too.. but i just changed my mind set and chose to start real(with default rosters) than go fantasy.. meaning i dont care about anything that happens in my "virtual world" its fantasy, if Jeter ends up in the Red Sox, just roll with it...

Heck! worst things have happened in real life.
