Well, not sure when I last updated and too lazy to find it. Been studying for an exam, working, spedning time with the wife and kids so haven't played as much as I would have liked.
I couldn't hit a lick on All-Star so I finally gave in and moved it down to Veteran and now I am having close games, where I actually have a chance to win. After the switch I went 1-2 before winning my last 3. I am now 6-7 after starting 3-7.
My last game was the series opener in Boston, it was cold and the wind was blowing out to left at 21MPH! I was up 11-1 when Morrow came out of the game and ended up winning 13-5 (Dotel is a bum). The biggest thing was that I doubled my homerun total on the season in this game from 9 to 18! Yup 9HR on 16 hits!
Rajai Davis got hurt a few games back and I have been starting Corey Patterson, not ideal, but outsode of a trade or getting a crappy defensive CF in Jose Guillen, it was my only option. He was okay, nothing special until this game when he jacked three opposite field jacks up into the jetstream over the monster, LOL.
When he came up late in the game the announce crew mentioned if he hit a 4th he would join a very small cast of record holders with 4 HR. He hit one to the track.
Also HR'ing in the game were Podsednik, Lind, Escobar, Lind, Arencibia and Rivera as a pinch hitter in the 8th. One away from tying the MLB record.
Before anyone says change the difficulty, this is only the second time I have scored more than 5 runs and my team batting average is still in the .230's, LOL. I was shocked, got 4 off of Beckett and then 2 of Wakefiled and 1 each of a litany of other relievers.
