Just started the Divisional Series against the Braves in my Brewers Dynasty. I won the Central Division behind a lot of bombs, Cy Young winning Grienke (19-6) and a surprising year from Marcum (19-8)

First game of the Divisional Series I threw my first No-Hitter since I played the game with Grienke. Only Blemish was an eighth inning error by Prince Fielder.

Started a one with the Diamond backs, and wouldnt ya know the second game of the season Kennedy takes a line drive off the face. Out for six months. But now I am 5-4 with the d-backs and still looking for another starting pitcher to fill this spot

Just played the Cubs after the All-Star break and had a no-hitter going 5.1 into the 6th inning with Halladay when their 8th hole got a base hit. I was getting so anxious and ended up a fast ball right down the middle for the knock....

Halladay still ended up going the complete game only allowing 3 hits, 0 ER and 9Ks. We won 6-0 behind Ryan Howard's 2 HRs and Polancos 2 run HR in the 7th.

I just got done with a three game series against the Cubs and Ramirez had 4 HRs in that series. I havent gone up against a player yet that has thumped me as much as he has.

Re: MLB 11 The Show "Franchise/Season" Progress Thread

I took 2 out of 3 in Oakland. I won game 1 8-7, getting home runs from Mather and Pujols to win, despite a poor pitching performance by Hawksworth, and Storen nearly blowing a 3 run lead in the 9th.

I won the 2nd game 5-2, but it never felt that close. I scored 3 early, and the A's just couldn't get any offense going against Carpenter. McClellan picked up his first save as I decided to rest Storen after his bad outing the night before.

Pujols had a long home run, and 3 RBI, in the final game of the series. Karstens didn't pitch great, but was getting out of trouble until he had to leave with a shoulder injury in the 5th. Calero pitched 3 strong innings out of the pen, but McClellan and Motte couldn't hold the lead in the 8th. In the 10th, Mather made a huge error at 3rd, allowing the winning run to reach 2nd with no one out. Hochevar couldn't quite get out of the jam, and Kouzmanoff ended up with a game winning single to salvage the last game of the series for Oakland.

Re: MLB 11 The Show "Franchise/Season" Progress Thread

A few tidbits from my first year as it's winding down -

Only trade I made was with the Braves
Braves receive - Darren O'Day and a prospect from double A ( I can't remember who)
Rangers receive - CF Nate McLouth, RP Johnny Venters and SP Kris Medlen

This was a small trade, but helped my team out quite a bit. Borbon was a defensive liability in CF, and while McLouth doesn't have the speed that Borbon does, he has more pop in his bat and a better defensive player. Venters gave me another good lefty in the bullpen and Medlen gave me another arm in the pen.

I won the AL West (I play one game per series, but all postseason games) with the Rangers and finished with a 93-69 record. The A's were 2 games back with 8 to play after taking the first two of a series. I won game 3 and finished out the season with an 8 game winning streak and the A's finished 8 games back.

Josh Hamilton won American League MVP
.344 avg, 46 HR, 139 RBI

Neftali Feliz won Reliver of The Year
1.51 era and converted 52 of out 54 save opportunities

I defeated the White Sox in 4 games and my pitching was amazing. Won 4-2, lost 2-0, Won 3-1 and won 3-0. I moved on to the ALCS to face the Tigers (Wilcard wiiners who defeated the best team, record wise, in baseball, the Boston Red Sox) We won the first game 4-0 and then go killed in game 2, 14-5. Hopefully I can play Game 3 soon.

The NLCS is tied at 1 between the Arizona and Cincinnati.

This is my first year owning this series so forgive me if it's already possible, but based on alot of the discussion on here it doesn't appear to be... Is there anyway that the developers could somehow make it where you can import your ongoing franchise from MLB The Show 2011 into The Show 2012 for next year? I think that would be really cool if possible that way you don't have to start over every year with your franchises.

I think the devs have tried to do this or have been tossing the idea around (i could be wrong but i remember reading about it from a dev) but it is somewhat difficult to implement. Would be nice but not a necessity for me at the moment.
