After 2 games my Yankee pitchers lead the league in strikeouts with 23. Yes, against the Orioles. I play on HOF with Armour’s exact sliders except I have human solid hits at 4. I don’t disagree that I’d still walk some. But it would definitely result in fewer walks issued, and I already don’t walk a lot of batters. I like it when, although it’s rare, when I Issue a 4-pitch walk. Just can’t find the zone. With control at 5 I feel like I could always throw a strike when I needed to.

In regards to just tapping the button for a pitch, I rarely do that. Maybe I need to, I either hold it for about a second or hold until rumble.

Looks like the real Yankees cranked the injury slider up to 10 and it's stuck!

      lol.. Happy Easter everyone!

Never seen anything like that in my 40 + years of following the yanks. It’s actually comical at this point

Just curious. Does anyone in your franchise have “injury immunity”? Assuming most of us use our favourite teams in our franchises, what if your favourite player was injured for 2-3 months or longer? Would you reverse the move? Would kind of suck if your favourite player was injured for the whole season. I had a close call. On opening day of my Yankees franchise, I lost Gary Sanchez to a broken arm in the 3rd inning - our for 1-2 months. I can live with that one, but Stanton or Judge......

As a 55 year old gamer I keep things very simple - listen to the catcher and tap x. No vibration as that seems to cause most of the problems I read on this post. I will at times aim a bit farther out of the strike zone than what the catcher is asking for when I have 2 strikes on the hitter (0-2, 1-2, 2-2). Also, with 2 strikes I may press the x a little longer to add a bit more oomph! Hitting the same way - just press x, with auto base running.

            How simple??

Follow Armour’s sliders (except human solid hits this year)

For pitching - tap x and use auto fielding and throwing. No vibration

For hitting - use x all of the time with auto base running

Sometimes I think users “try too hard” and make things more difficult than they need to be.

I keep things very simple and enjoy the game just as much as anyone does.

I guarantee you in the long run that method of pitching won’t hold up. You’re using the Yankees staff against the Orioles so you’ll get by in that series. Go against a real lineup with your 3-4 starter and just tap x and tell me what happens.

Two things jump out at me from your last few posts. To start, you're dead last in walks, that's a red flag right there. If you're last in walks and last in K's you're so obviously pounding the strike zone way way too much. You have to throw garbage with two strikes and not be afraid to get into 3-2 counts or walk guys. Second thing I noticed was your button pushing method. From my experience you either need to tap or hold until vibration, nothing in between. When you tap you have less velocity and break but more control. I use the tap alot on 0-0 counts. When you hold until vibration, which is technically any hold longer than a tap, you put yourself at risk. If you hit the vibration perfectly you get great velocity and break, on top of good control. If you dont hit the vibration right on the money, you will get a bad pitch alot of the times. Pretty much the worst thing you could do on classic pitching is hold the button and let go before you feel any vibration. You're not maxing out velocity or break by letting up early, and then also by not timing it right you're messing with your control as well.

Yes, solid hits at 4. The reason is because I was playing a spring training game in my Rockies franchise and my pitcher was up with bases loaded. He smoked a 96 mph outside fastball that just didn’t “feel” right.

So far my Yankees have beat the Orioles 8-3 and 7-4 in my season. First game I hit 3 homers and 6 doubles. Game 2 I hit 1 homer and 2 doubles. Pretty good results with it at 4 so far. Have pitch speed at 5/5.

I’ve tried Armour’s clean screen approach and I simply can’t do it. I love it, but just aren’t skilled enough to play like that. No vibration. I can’t remember what the options are called right now but I can see the catcher’s glove, and can see the type of pitches the pitcher has in his arsenal. I don’t show the strike zone, but I use the option where I can see my timing on the last pitch when hitting.
