The setting is 2 for both HOF and All Star, is that correct ?

    Thx

Thanks for pointing this out. It is 3 for All-Star and I just updated the OP so it says that.

And yes (+/-) next to a value is the change from the previous slider set version.

I’m 40 games in and I have to say, this game is just overall more difficult this year. It’s getting really frustrating to be quite honest. I just lose, and lose, and lose. I’m 18-22, just lost a game against the Reds where I had the lead with two outs and no one on in the bottom of the 8th. Routine ground ball to Baez, error. Next batter, home run. I manage to tie it in the ninth and then they walk off with yet another homer in the bottom of the ninth.

        Quick question.

Ever since the timing slider went from 5 to 6 I have been smacking the absolute piss out of the ball. Do you think it would better to take that slider back to 5, or to try and move up to Legend difficulty hitting?

Oh what sweet sweet revenge. In are first meeting of year three the hated Dodgers came to Atlanta after eliminating us the last two years from the playoffs and bam a three game sweep by the Braves.

The Braves improved to 14-3 with their 8th straight win. The offense stepped it up in the series scoring 23 runs for the Braves.

Something I noticed for example on fastballs. I don't see a difference in pitch speed if I hold the button or just simply press it. If holding is "max effort" shouldn't the pitch speed differ by a tick or two?

                    Another game another loss. Why?

                    0-1

I had high hopes for this year’s game, but it seems to have sadly taken a step back for the first time in years for me.

I hope this thread isn't turning into a clone of all the other threads on the main forum. This and a couple other slider threads have served as a safe haven of sorts away from so much negativity. The game isn't perfect, but it is, in my humble opinion, an awesome outlet for my (and many others' I believe) love of baseball......HOF is tough this year and it'll kick your butt at times. However it is sooooo rewarding (just like real life) when the baseball Gods shine on you......which they will, if you are patient and keep grinding.....if you want an easier experience then go to All Star or Veteran

I'm struggling quite a bit and I'm on all-star. I'm still having a blast though and baseball isn't even my top sport.

I can’t stress this enough. HOF is the real deal in terms of challenge this year. All-Star is also smooth. I just need a little more “fear of the CPU” in my baseball game and HOF is giving me that.

0-2 and 1-2 counts are a bit tougher this year. But I am finally figuring out what pitches and locations I need to use with my staff....and this year you really need to scout the hitters hot and cold zones and the type of hitter they are. Plus check their quirks!

It makes for an intense battle.

Curious on how many trades you guys have been seeing? I’m in mid May now and haven’t had a single one happen around the league. It’s still early enough though that I’m not too concerned yet, but wondering how many the rest of the community has seen or any interesting deals that have gone down.

I’ve been happy with the game many, many years. This year has been tough. The strikeout issues and lack of power have made it hard at times. I’m still near the bottom in strikeouts even with the foul ball frequency at 2. The last 4-5 games I’ve been lucky if I can rack up five strikeouts.

I feel like the CPU puts the ball in play a lot more with it that low. It’s trading one thing for another, really. I have fewer 8-12 pitch at-bats where guys are fouling everything off, but then on the flip side getting to two strike counts has become much more difficult.

The most I’ve struck out in a single game so far with a starter has been 8. And that was a complete game (perfect game in fact). Every year up until MLB 19 I would have games every now and again where a pitcher would go 7.0 IP and punch out 11. Or a complete game with 13 strikeouts. Not the case in 19.

So it’s not analyzing every little thing, for me, it’s pretty odd abnormalities for someone that’s played baseball video games since the mid-80’s and has played The Show religiously since MBL 08. Every year I have decent strikeout numbers against the computer, but this year I noticed it was different after just a few days. That, along with the power outage for users.

I still expect an update at some point that changes things. Which, in a sense, is also somewhat frustrating, because then we have to re-tweak things.

Last year was a little ridiculous. If you remember our of the gate people were launching home runs all over. Then an update nerfed it. Then another put it where it should be.

Hi Armor and fellas. Quick question... I play on All Star for both pitching and batting. I have CPU Contact at 6 right now. If I wanted a little more offense from the CPU,would I raise CPU Contact to 7 ? Or maybe Timing to 6 ? Would love to hear what slider tweaks everyone might be using for All Star. Thanks in advance
