Just want to throw this out there... WarmWind mentioned in another thread about CPU bullpen management being pretty good with 8/8/4 setting.

    SP Sta/RP Sta/Manager Hook

With that said, I played Red Sox/M's last night and the Red Sox bullpen management was very good! They had the lead going into the 7th inning and they brought in Brice in the 7th, Ottavino in the 8th and then Barnes in the 9th to close out the game.

Last year, most times they would have left relievers in for two innings and then bring in the closer.

Is that achievable within roster sliders or is that a total ratings reworking for every player? Thanks
      That's more of a roster-based solution rather than a slider-driven one.

I'm going to be honest; I tried that approach towards the tail-end of MLBTS20. Wasn't a fan. It boosted offense and overall, the games just felt 'off' to me. I'll consider exploring it for 21, but as a general rule, any deviations more than one click off of default cause a myriad of issues that require a cascade of further adjustments (that then take away from player ratings).
Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.

Totally agree with Josh on this. Once you start moving the sliders to high or low the game loses its balance.

Hey Josh, I changed the CPU solid hits slider back up to 5 and the HUM control back down to 5 because my starting rotation was throwing consistent 7 IP/1-3 Hit/0 BB games.

I feel like with solid hits at 4 and HUM control at 6, Darvish, Snell, Clevinger, and Lamet are unstoppable. I think I went like 14 straight games where I didn't give up more than 1 run or walk more than 2 with my SPs. I have had much better success like this.

I might also increase the CPU foul frequency to 7 instead of 6 because my SPs are still seeing extremely high K/9. My average SP K/9 is 12.67 and my average bullpen K/9 is 7.8.

I’m still testing out Josh’s sliders so I’m gonna play more games and let you know what I’m seeing.

So I do pitching only and I have currently played 67 games and all 4 of my SPs (Clevinger, Lamet, Snell, and Darvish) are on pace to have 270+ Ks

There does need to be more of a challenge from the Cpu hitters that’s for sure. I’ve played nearly 20 games with josh awesome set and pitching has been a breeze for all but maybe two games.

Ya. I might experiment with turning timing up to 6 as well.

There’s a few sliders that I never move from default 5 and timing is one of them. I suggest you move your control even lower if you’re still having too easy of a time pitching

I'm using dynamic difficulty right now for the first time, trying to find my sweet spot for difficulty level. I have a question regarding DD progress. Right now I'm at Allstar + for pitching and I'm between allstar and allstar + for hitting. When the progress is between 2 levels is the game playing at the lower level and just showing how close you are to the next level? In other words, am I hitting at allstar or am I hitting at a difficulty between allstar and allstar + ???? Thanks. Hope I'm making sense.

Those of you having an easy time pitching; please note that it is expected that you follow all the settings on the OP.

That means you're using broadcast cam for pitching, that means ALL visual aids are turned off, and it means that controller vibration is turned off. The settings are, in a way, more important than the sliders as they represent the fundamental core of what we are doing here.

If you are not doing all of these things, I ask that you kindly do so prior to providing any further feedback on the slider values.

When the pop-up shows up, your current difficulty level is the one in the middle (and at the end of the day, that's the only setting you need to worry about). The progress bar merely shows how close you are to either being promoted to the next level or demoted....
