I had posted in this thread that increasing the foul frequency made all the difference. I’ll admit that was just after a few games and probably should have waited a little longer to say so. So it’s been 22 games since making the increase and it actually has made no difference what so ever. My pitching staff continues to lead the league in strikeouts. Now by 234 to be exact. I’m playing with the giant’s which no offense if you are a giants fan like me but they don’t exactly have a staff that would closely resemble these numbers. I guess what makes me wonder if it not a timing or contract issue is the fact that the sheer number of three pitch strikeouts, especially for my bullpen. I would have waited just a bit longer to say anything but after punching out 18 Dodgers today I really think I have to address it somehow. Offensively I’m not seeing nearly as many punch outs but I will say I’m striking out more than I ever have. Which really doesn’t concern me. But what does is this odd “I know that wasn’t on me “ feeling when I miss a pitch . I see the ball, maybe it’s a good or awful pitch, I know my timing was on and I swing right through it. Just some information for you I know a lot of the guys have had pretty similar issues.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I am going back to FF at default. I'm going to trust the sliders I've used for 500+ games across the last three games in the series. Every time I've tried to 'get cute' it's backfired. I'm not going to make that mistake this year.

I'm trusting my instincts before I dive in. But it’s something sorta like that; just saw less 'pure' contact than I'd like - much like one sees when you raise the SB sliders. Not chancing it.

Copy that. What I’ve noticed after testing out over twenty games with your slider set(only difference is pitch speed and I use wide camera for hitting) is I was seeing some pretty long at bats a few times a game where a guy would foul off 5-6 pitches.

Just so you know I’m rolling with your set on all star plus whole in another franchise I’ve been working on a HOF set.

If AA teams have 3 SP, will that work itself out or should I change some RP to SP? Thinking more of long term.

It'll be fine. Don't worry about lineups/rotations and so on, it'll work itself out quickly as the AI takes control of the remaining 29 teams.

So I wanna tell a funny story really quick y'all. Josh I'm using your slider set and last week I mentioned that I had a hard time hitting with it on AS but that I'd stick with it.

Fast forward to today in my test O's franchise. I'm just trying to simulate to the Yankees game on MLB Network when I get a critical situation pop up. Being that this is my first time seeing this, I look at the situation and see we're up 5-4 on Boston in the 9th and they want me to jump in to finish. So sure why not let's see what this is.

Get into the game and the closer Valdez blows the save and it's tied at 5. I get my first ever hit in the bottom of the 9th with Pedro Severino right back up the middle. But nothing came of it so we end up going to extras. Bottom of the 10 and the leadoff hitter is Ryan Mountcastle. First pitch walk off home run to left! And I'm trying not to wake the house with my excitement because of how big this was/is for me.

I come crashing down to Earth when I had remembered that you made some slider adjustments since I first put the set in so it feels kinda cheap but I feel like I should still be proud of myself just a little bit [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

So far the foul ball back to default has done what I was hoping it would do and put more balls into play and the cpu offense hasn’t felt as stagnant l. I’m only 3 games in with the change but I like what I’m seeing.

I’ve played two games with it back to default and I must say it does play pretty good. Hopefully these can be locked in!

I'm enjoying these sliders. Just wondering how I turn off the controller vibration and where I switch off the box that shows the pitch and timing feedback ?
