I am also reading in the bullpen AI thread another method of putting your worst relievers with less than 40 stamina in the two LRP slots, best SU guys in the MRP spots and your closer in the CP spot. And carrying 13 pitchers instead of 12.
Gonna test that out too.

LRP 1 - low rated middle reliever (<40)
LRP 2 - low rated middle reliever (<40)
MRP 1 - strong middle reliever (set up guy)
MRP 2 - 2nd strongest middle reliever
MRP 3 - long reliever (likely higher than 40)
SU - middle reliever
SU - middle reliever
CP - closer?Yankees modern day

So it would be
LRP 1 - low rated middle reliever (<40)
LRP 2 - low rated middle reliever (<40)
MRP 1 - strong middle reliever (set up guy)
MRP 2 - 2nd strongest middle reliever
MRP 3 - long reliever (likely higher than 40)
SU - middle reliever
SU - middle reliever
CP - closer?
You got it.

Re: Armor & Sword’s MLB The Show 22 Classic/Directional/Clean Screen Simulation Slide
OS Member BSpring3 came up with this find in how to re-order the CPU teams bullpens.
It will take an initial time investment with 30 team control.....but I have seen better CPU bullpen logic and usage.
While not perfect, I have a method I use that helps with simmed and cpu management:
Closer-CP
SU-top RP
LRP1-2nd RP (make sure stamina is under 40)
LRP2-3rd RP (make sure stamina is under 40)
MRP1-4th RP
MRP2-5th RP
MRP3-6th RP
MRP4-my long reliever
Using this method, the cpu brings in the top RP in those one run and tie games and with the lower stamina generally pull them after 1-2 innings. I have seen the RP in those slots end the season with about 80 innings which may still high but not crazy.
And the long reliever generally pitches less games but gets more innings due to a higher stamina, generally in mop up roles and such.
Glad to see that you are seeing success with the above as well. For those that are worried about having 13 pitchers, I have 13 pitchers for all teams and it seems to work fine.
There is no perfect solution but having RP pitching 80-100 instead of 150 innings is a positive move.

Curious, does anybody manually injure players with existing injuries or do you start your franchise with a clean slate?

I am a clean slate guy. I like to let my universe evolve into it’s own story with injuries and using the dreaded “Injury Matrix”!!!

Re: Armor & Sword’s MLB The Show 22 Classic/Directional/Clean Screen Simulation Slide
So the bullpen method used above... Do you have to go through every team and set this up? And also how do you manage this to keep it in check? Sorry I'm new to 30 team control.

Re: Armor & Sword’s MLB The Show 22 Classic/Directional/Clean Screen Simulation Slide
I love the sliders, but my skill level as a batter is not as good as I wished. Im striking out over 10 times game, sometimes as high as 15. Even when I'm ready for a fastball, I can't catch up to it many times, and of course I am doing my best to work the count, etc. Using the strike zone 2 camera has helped a bit, Show 15 was not working. I tried fish eye, but I could not get use to it.
My Cubs are 1-6, with our last two losses being 3-2 and 3-1. Of course pitchers matter, but even against bad ones I'm striking out too much.
So I'm thinking of reducing pitch speed to 4. Has anyone else done this? Or any other suggestions?Comment

If you can’t catch up there is no shame reducing pitch speed. Make the game fun for you!
