Man I am already in love with this new Royals team and franchise. A huge change of pace and truly a team I will have fun playing with as they suit my old school style of speed, defense, contact….small ball.

We went 1-2 in our first series at Cleveland losing in an extra innings walk off 2-1 in game 1, losing another one run game 3-2 in game two and then salvaging the series with a 3-1 win.

Heading to Chicago to face our division rival White Sox.

To keep with the AL Central theme, I have now gone 5-1 in my last 6 games, including a 2 game sweep of the Giants and a game against Shane Beiber that saw Riley Greene getting his first career home run. I'm still in last place in the division at 32-54 (that may actually be worst in baseball) but things are looking like they may be turning around for the Tigers.

The game itself seems to be a lot smoother after the last update (I'm playing on Switch) the cut scenes seem shorter and the choppiness is greatly reduced. Maybe I'm just seeing things.

Thinking of doing the same. After years of Sox franchises I am thinking of doing a franchise with someone who hasn’t won a World Series (padres or mariners maybe) or doing a relocated Rockies or A’s….aaaargh! I said I wasn’t gonna restart this year! Lol.

Anyone else having issues with really high CPU batting strikeout totals?

I'm throwing around 10-15 a game with any team. Using classic pitching, no helpers. Should be getting around 8-10.

I hate to change the sliders because runs, hits, and x-base hits are perfect.

Armor and co. I’m a huge fan of the community built here alround mlb the show and the sliders are always on point. I ditched my ps4 a few years ago after not gaming as much and in anticipation of the ps5. Well I finally got mine in the mail today and am planning on loading up a new franchise and I am stoked. I’ve been an avid franchise guy and long time lurker on these forums, but I’ve been hung up with the schedule being off in the game due to the lockout. Idk I’m probably just ocd or whatever but I love to make the franchise as realistic as possible and that seems to put a damper on my enthusiasm just a bit. Was wondering if anyone else felt similar this year when they started their franchises this year. Anyways, big ups to you all I can’t wait to get back into this wonderful world of sim baseball

Loving how these are playing out so far. I’d raised CPU Solid Hits to 4 but have since reverted to the the set setting of 3. CPU offense wasn’t changed much and was seeing a bit too much hard contact so I think that’s perfect. I’m going back and forth in Human Contact between 6 & 7. At 7 it feels like offense is where it should be, but am not feeling like the threat of striking out is high enough. At 6, however, it feels like I’m a bit punchless at times. Gonna leave it at 6 for now and try to work counts a little better. I did work 8 walks Last game so I’m getting there.

I’m in the same boat with human contact. On 7 I seem to hit everything. On 6 it can certainly be a little challenging (frustrating) at times. But at least I feel that I “earned” my hits and homers.

For example, my first game on 7 I won 8-1. Next game I was up 9-0 after 4, so I switched back to 6 and scored 1 more run in the last 5 innings. Next game I start with it at 6 and didn’t score a run through 5 innings and only had 2 hits. So switch back to 7 and go triple, walk, homerun, double, homerun with my next 5 hitters.

So I think that human contact at 6 is where I’m going to keep it and REALLY try not to get slider-itis as I don’t want to keep switching back and forth between 6 and 7. I play as the Yankees and Phillies so I expect to have good power and offense.

Same as cpu solid hits at 3 or 4. Many games I don’t feel challenged with it at 3, but seems they only score on homers with it at 4.

I’m desperately trying to get in a groove and just play. I like to win, but don’t want to win with lopsided scores either. Also want to feel challenged and feel that I earned my victories. My Phillies swept the Astros (ranked 3rd overall) and then my Yankees swept the Rangers and none of the games were very close.

I’m going to try to keep cpu solid hits at 3 for several more games, as per Armour’s recommendation, but I think I need to keep human solid hits at 6 and simply quit thinking about the sliders and just play.

Armor, I noticed on twitch stream when you were playing the cardinals you showed 13 position players and 13 pitchers for CPU teams. Just wondering if you changed from having 12 pitchers and 14 position players for CPU teams.

Currently in the beginning of June In my SF giants chise. Currently 48-33 with the dodgers 1 gb. Made 1 trade so far for Nelson Cruz as a rental power bat. Will look for starting pitching and some relievers. As Logan Webb is out for the year with a torn finger ligament

Armor, I noticed on twitch stream when you were playing the cardinals you showed 13 position players and 13 pitchers for CPU teams. Just wondering if you changed from having 12 pitchers and 14 position players for CPU teams.

In this restart I am letting it roll and so far so good, but if I start seeing wonky over usage of the same bullpen guys we will adjust.

I noticed on the first page, for the slider settings, that there is something called "stride difficulty". What is that? It is right below human timing, on Armor's sliders, but I don't think that I ever saw this before, and it is not in the game. I double checked in the game to see if there was a setting called "slide", in case stride was a typo, but I did not see anything.
I was just curious.
