Living by Armor's motto of "just play the game" is the best way to go I think. The temptation to start a new franchise with a better team is still high but man, I just can't do it. Riley Greene is mashing right now. In 22 games he's batting .380 with 7 HR and 14 RBI including a walkoff against the Padres in the last game. The rest of the Tigers are still struggling (read: I suck at hitting).

I'm 39-65 which is miraculously still ahead of the Orioles and A's. Still loving the game, and there are storylines galore within my organization and the league as a whole. For example, the A's traded even more players away for prospects...the Guardians are pulling away for the division lead and have traded Cal Quantill for prospects while also trading for Taylor Rodgers. The Yankees are 4th in the AL East, and the Angels are almost a lock for the AL West. In the NL, things are a little more predictable, except that the Cubs are only 2 games behind the Brewers for 2nd place.

I just got the option to negotiate contract extensions...so now I guess it's time to sit down and really put 30 team control to use.

In my franchise we are not exactly 2 games behind, we are 12.5 games behind the Brewers. We are 44-54, they are 57-42.

Interesting, be interested to hear about your results

I’ve decided, after a few practice games to go with v2, with the exception of increasing cpu contact to 6 and pitch speeds to 7. I’ve relied and trusted on Armour for many, many years, and he has always made the game enjoyable for me with realistic results. But for now I just think the cpu needs a bit more offence so their contact will be at 6.

I understand that there will be games that I will win by lopsided scores - but that is also realistic given that I use the Phillies and the Yankees. I just hope that I see the variety of games and scores (and lose sometimes) that others are posting

i bumped the cpu solid hits up to 4 to match the users and i've gotten the CPU offense going a little bit.


i also pitch with meter so i lowered the user pitch control down to 3 so i can't paint corners without really nailing the timing

So you aren’t on HOF default anymore? I’ve played several games with v2 but with cpu contact at 6 (cpu solid hits still at 3), and it’s working really well

I was able to get 8 more games this week w/ V2 (EXACTLY AS IS)……..anything I saw that left me SMH, is hard coded, and sliders won’t/can’t fix it.

22 is def a notch below 20, but These work - just keep playing

I’m going to bump cpu solid hits up to 4 as well after my Phillies swept the Astros in Houston 3-1, 4-1, and 4-1. 12 if their 21 hits in the series were extra base hits, including 2 homers, but they just couldn’t generate much offence. But they did get their share of extra base hits so really not sure moving cpu solid hits will do anything or is necessary. Guess we will see

I also had cpu contact at 6 for the start of the series. Maybe Houston is starting the season in a bit of a slump and/or my Phillies pitchers just pitched really well

Guys I think I need to restart my franchise. I really want to do a rebuild like I’m attempting to do with Detroit but I’m just not good enough at the game right now. I’m thinking of starting a new franchise with the Cards and seeing how I can do with them. Keeping everything else the same, ie V2 sliders, classic pitching and 30 team control. I don’t want to mess with the sliders at all because it’s more of a “me” issue than a game issue. Although it’s definitely more difficult to play on the Switch, I think.

Has anyone tried legend difficulty with armors sliders? Does that make the cpu decision making better(running the bases, pitch selection,etc)? I lowered human contact to 6 and lowered foul frequency to 3 and am still not striking out much, even with fastball pitch speed at 7 and offspeed at 6. Any suggestions?

30 team control is exactly what I’ve been missing in The Show. Having a blast with this setup and slider combo.

How does everyone keep track of the storylines around the league for your given franchise mode? I’m in for the long haul on my franchise and want to somehow take note of big re-signings, trades, awards etc over the years.

First sweep and winning streak as we took care of the Twins. Three great games. The bats are really starting to come alive. Pitching has been solid.

We lead the league in SB’s. And I love this team. A real nice change of pace for me.

We head on the road for 6 games and then the Yankees come to Kaufman Stadium. That will surreal. Lol!!!

All games have been streamed and we will stream all 162 every pitch every inning.

V2 is playing brilliantly.
