Re: Creating **The 'PERFECT' Slider Set**
I might try them, but I still say if the player pitcher difficulty is set at 0-20 I will score 500 runs a game!! I have my player pitcher difficulty at 80 (which makes it harder for the human to hit) and I am not having a ton of trouble hitting at 80. Zero and 100 just seem to drastic for me on any of the sliders except baserunner speed!
Then, you set the HUMAN pitcher difficulty to 100. Now you will have a toooooouuuuugh time hitting oswalt, carpenter, pedro...
Making those two changes to 0 & 100, respectively, yields the maximum difficulty I was referring to.Comment

Re: Creating **The 'PERFECT' Slider Set**
I have tried both, I tried the swing stick for the first 15-20 game's I played and no use classic. Without any doubt in my mind I see Tons more variety using Classic swing! Bloopers, liners, slow rollers everything!Comment

Re: Creating **The 'PERFECT' Slider Set**
Great set of sliders! I have some great realistic games. My only complaint was that the CPU's contact and power were up too high. How do I know this? Because I played 6 games with the Angels and they gave up 10 homeruns. In 3 of the games, homers were the only way the CPU won.

Re: Creating **The 'PERFECT' Slider Set**
For those using my set of sliders or a close variation thereof, I've found two minor changes that need to be made, one for fielding and one for pitching.
First one: Turn AI Throwing Aggression to 65. Yes I know this sounds weird to just move it up 5, but I've had a couple of instance of CPU SS fiedling the ball with less than 2 outs and a runner on first, and without hesitating throwing directly to first when, in the replay, it was clear they could have turned the double play. Since I've moved it to 65, this has been taken care of. So for those looking to further perfect the fielding in these sliders, move this one up to 65.
Second: Turn the AI Throw Strike Behind down from 50 to 45. This is needed to make walking a tad easier. If this takes care of it I will leave it at 45, if not I will keep experimenting.
Good luck guys!Last edited by nnng07; 03-19-2007, 03:04 PM.Comment

Have you turned IF speed down to 20? This seemed to do it for me...Comment

Re: Creating **The 'PERFECT' Slider Set**
When changes to the sliders are made, is it possible to edit the first post? It's very confusing to read all 13 pages of the thread to try and find the updates. With these probably being the best sliders, I'm itching to try'em out. I just have no idea what is what. And what are the main differences people are seeing between x-cell's and nng's? Thanks for all the hard work.Comment

Re: Creating **The 'PERFECT' Slider Set**
X*Cell's Maximum Difficulty Version *EDIT 1*
A.I. General Options
Batter Contact: 35
Batter Power: 15
Batter Influence: 100
This is for the rediculous number of homeruns. Based on a player's Inside Edge and Spray Chart, his hits will accurately portray the odds of a player hitting in different areas. Non-HR hitters won't be jacking shots as often anymore just based off probability.
Power Swing: 35
Step Influence: 10
I was testing 90 with this, but it became like freethrows in NBA 2K7... if you get good at the system, it's cake, no matter which shooter. This was the case when it was at 90. Hits everywhere.
Pitcher Difficulty: 100
Bunt Assistance: 25
Bunt for Hit: 15
Baserunner Speed: 100
Runner Steal Success: 55
Infielder Errors: 70
Outfielder Errors: 75
Infielder Speed: 20
Outfielder Speed: 45
Catcher Throw Speed: 0
Infielder Throw Speed: 0
Outfielder Throw Speed: 0
Infielder Reaction Speed: 20
Outfielder Reaction Speed: 35
Speed Burst Length: 0
Speed Burst Power: 0
Fielder Aggression: 0
Pitcher Fatigue: 35
Pitcher Interface Speed: 100
Injuries: 65
Pitch Speed: 70
A.I. General Options

Outfielder Errors: 75
Infielder Speed: 20
Outfielder Speed: 45
Catcher Throw Speed: 0
Infielder Throw Speed: 0
Outfielder Throw Speed: 0
Fielder Aggression: 0
Throwing Aggression: 65
nnng07 said it works better. I believe him.
Hit and Run: 100
Sacrifice Bunt: 60
Squeeze Bunt: 35
Runner Aggression: 60
Steal Success: 55
Steal Second: 60
Steal Third: 30
Steal Home: 5
Diveback: 60
A.I. Batting Options
AI Batters use Inside Edge:ON
Take Strike Overall: 70
Take Strike Ahead: 70
Take Strike Behind: 70
Take Ball Overall: 30
Take Ball Ahead: 30
Take Ball Behind: 30
This creates for real swinging strikeouts. Batters go after pitches because of the uncertainty of the next pitch. It's not just a simple miss, like, ahhh I swung under it. It's the guy looking for a fastball, and then jumping ahead and falling against a curveball. You will be impressed with the realistic K numbers when you work the zone, while still delivering walks to the CPU.
Skill: 100
Contact: 50
Power: 100
The CPU just isn't very skillful against 20-game veterans of MLB 2K7.
Bunt for Hit: 40
Pitcher Difficulty: 0
Pitcher Effectiveness Mod: 100
AI Pitching Options
Pitchers use Inside Edge: ON
Corner: 55

Re: Creating **The 'PERFECT' Slider Set**
Just played 2 games in my season with these(nng07's) as The Reds vs. the Astros
GAME 1
R H E
Reds 11 19 0
Astros 2 9 2
Reds: 3 HR 10 singles 6 doubles 3K's
Astros: 1HR 7 singles 1 double 5K's
Their fifth starter was going, and I beat him up good, but then Oswalt was scheduled to pitch, which leads me to game 2:
R H E
Reds 1 6 0
Astros 0 4 0
Reds: 0HR 5 singles 1 double 12K's (Oswalts curve and FB)
Astros 0HR 4 singles 4K's
Good games, I may bump the AI contact up +5, and work the sliders for the AI take ball and strike up a tad toward XCell's numbers to get pitch counts and swinging K's a little bit more accurate. Never the less, great job on these sliders, they will probably be what I use in my season once we get some opening day rosters!!!Comment

Re: Creating **The 'PERFECT' Slider Set**
My first testing stage will probably be completed after my last game vs. the Blue Jays.
Then I can get into posting some stats in my 3-game series vs. the 16-9 New York Yankees... and then back to play the poor 7-19 Blue Jays.SAN ANTONIO SPURSComment

Re: Creating **The 'PERFECT' Slider Set**
Another season game, Reds(me) vs. Phillies
R H E
Reds 9 17 1
Phillies 12 16 0
Reds: 3HR 10 singles 4 doubles 14 K's
Phils 2HR 9 singles 4 double 1 triple 6k's
Turned into a slugfest, with Milton giving up 8 runs (5 earned) in 5 2/3.
Really wasn't that close, I scored 5 in the bottom of the ninth to get it close. I hit one guy, and it turned into a beanball fest 3 of theirf pitchers were ejected!!!Comment
