True, but what else is out there at 3B? I don't follow the Sox farm system all that closely but I don't know who is available. Lowell is the only FA third basement available since A-Rod is going back to SS where ever he goes.

Mo and Posada would fit PERFECTLY into Minaya's plan. I know he has a dream of putting 9 Latin ballplayers on the field all at once, something that has never been done before in the history of the MLB.

Alou, Beltran, Chavez, Reyes, Castillo, Delgado, Posada, Martinez pitching... David's just gonna have to sit a game out for someone.

Yeah right... whatever. The guy has no loyalty. The fans brought this upon their own team, for the record.

Now before every OS Stankee fan comes on here ready to post how "we cheered him like crazy this year," I'd like to point out the steady stream of boos he received last year. Well warranted, but still boo's nonetheless.

Not this Yankee fan...I have been hoping for this for a while. He's a great player, just a bad fit in NY. He was never, and I mean never, going to be truly accepted in NY, justified or not.

Missing his production will not be too horrible. The Yanks can score runs and if they pick up a guy who gets 20/80/80, well that'll be good enough. As we've seen since the great run of the late 90's, superstars at every position at the expense of pitching and team depth does not work.

Maybe I'm taking your comment out of context. Can you explain?

Favre, I think the Yankees will miss his production... in the regular season. Without A-Rod you guys don't even make the playoffs this year.

People need to stop saying that the fans had anything to do with this. He could have been showered with love every day for four years and he would have opted out. The fans did not "bring this upon themselves", it's all about the green.

C'mon man... you don't think if he would've loved playing here he wouldn't have stayed?

The guy was scrutinized by the fans and the media. Rightfully so with his contract, but even if you want to plead the case the fans weren't to blame they certainly did not help.

No, I don't think he would have, especially with Boras as his agent. Everything is black and white, there is no emotion or rationale with Boras. It's, "where and how can I make the most money for my client."

Nothing more, nothing less.

I think Mo, Jorge & Andy will be Yankees next year. These guys know what wearing the Pinstripes means for the last decade. I think they want to be here to usher in the NEW Yankee Stadium & I believe the Yankees want them also to be here to usher in the NEW Yankee Stadium.

I would be SHOCKED if these 3 weren't Yankees next year.
