I love soriano but its time to move on again.
Believe me, he is a major upgrade over Vernon Wells or Ichiro. He would bolster this offense. When we are relying on guys like Vernon Wells, Hafner, Lilibridge, Cruz, Stewart, etc.. (yea it's that bad) Soriano is a Godsend.

Eh, It's still a 100% upgrade over what we have now.

I am just excited to see what Frank Wren does at the seadline for Atlanta. I wish that there was a way that Braves could land Perkins from Minnesota.

Soriano is one of the streakiest hitters in baseball. When he's on fire, he'll hit 10 bombs in 2 weeks. When he's off, he'll strike out 20 times in 2 weeks and leave a million runners on base.

He'll regress back to his career averages soon enough, though his HR numbers should remain solid in Yankee Stadium.

Also @AC I don't think Valbuena is getting traded. The FO love his ability too work counts and get on base.

More than likely after Soriano. Schierholtz, Gregg, Navarro, & Russell are next.
Would really be upset if the traded Russell. He is a solid lefty reliever.

Orioles acquire Francisco Rodriguez from the Brewers for Nick Delmonico.

Really like Delmonico, but we needed another bullpen arm.

Seems like a fairly even trade for both.

Wonder what the Brew Crew do with Delmonico. 1B seems like Hart/Morris/Gamel in terms of pecking order, but 3B seems wide open if Aramis gets traded.

Yea I think Nick stays at 3B... We don't have a single 3B prospect.

In a few years... we could have nice infield of Morris, Gennett, Segura, Delmonico! We'll see what happens.

The Sox are listening to proposals. They turned down a deal involving pitcher Carlos Martinez, the Cardinals third-highest rated prospect, for shortstop Alexei Ramirez, according to a scouting source.
                            Gotta love the White Sox.

Heyman is saying that the White Sox did not turn down Ramirez for Martinez, though he wouldn't be surprised if the Cards are indeed interested in him.
