Don't really know what he would be doing to "cheat" there.
My guess is it had to do with the hot chalk it hit right before it got onto the chest protector material. Don't know for sure though. If anything, blame the pitcher before the catcher heh.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Sheesh!
Clint Frazier apparently asked the Yankees if they un-retire numbers as he asked for Mickey Mantle's number 7
Kid needs to buy himself a clue.

Forty years ago today was the Blue Jays first game, April 7, 1977. I feel old.

I watched part of the game today. When they show helicopter shots of downtown Toronto between innings I don't even recognize it. There's the CN Tower and four skyscrapers.
The home plate umpire's strike calls are legendary.
Edit: At one point the colour commentator calls Exhibition Stadium a "beautiful ballpark" That's one of the biggest lies of all-time. It was a dump. It made Oakland Coliseum look like the Taj Mahal.Last edited by bhurst99; 04-07-2017, 03:34 PM.Comment

I'm not sure who the color guy was (maybe Early Wynn?) but yeah that's got to be one of the greatest lies in baseball history.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: MLB Off-Topic
i thought this was funny.
Add one more to the long list of jokes at the expense of the Tampa Bay Rays' attendance numbers and Tropicana Field in general. One "lucky" fan went home doubly disappointed Thursday night. First, the Rays lost 5-2 to the Toronto Blue Jays, and second, the 50/50 draw prize was a laughable $121.The reported attendance was 12,678, according to Blue Jays statistician Scott Carson, but few and far between elected to take a shot at the prize.Toronto Blue Jays

Re: MLB Off-Topic
Just watched MLB Network's "Millville to MVP" documentary that aired tonight. It was fantastic.
It wasn't super crazy insightful or anything but the way I felt watching it was the way I felt when I was a kid and I would read biographies of Joe DiMaggio and such. Like watching something out of of the 50s. Out of lore. Something that I could only imagine in my mind. Except we get to watch him. Really cool, odd feeling.
