Yes the Giants are still stinking up the joint!! Anyone think that GM Brian Sabean is going to be on the hot seat after this season?

Isn't he already on the hot seat. Its kinda evident that he is feeling the pressure, after his tirade following the Benitez deal.

Well, the player of the game today was Bruce Bochy. The biggest move was leaving Matt Morris in when he could have had somebody pinch hit in the 7th, and when he could have used a closer in the 9th. But the other grand call was the suicide squeeze.

Morris absolutely dealt today though. And it was good to see Bonds smash that hard curve 420+.

As Bonds goes... so do the Giants. Last two games he's looked relaxed and had let the ball come to him. The HR the other day looked so easy, just like it used to be. He definitely owed that to Morris after getting beat up in the field. Anyhow, managed to see the Winn game saver.. very nice. I hear we're bound to see another call-up start tomorrow... can't remember his name though.

I just heard Krukow say his name in the pregame. I think he's a catcher named Guillermo Rodriguez. I'll have to be sure though.

Looks like that was a bad idea. Though Molina needed a rest, he probably took the worst day off since Lincecum was pitching. A rookie calling for a rookie = bad. This'll be his 3rd harsh start in a row, hopefully he can do something to adjust

Looking at the Boston series, it looks that we won't get to see a Bonds vs Schilling matchup.. what a shame. The Rockies just manhandled Boston so I hope they can continue on their journey to giving way to the Yankees

You know what? We deserved to lose that and probably every other game from here on out. This is a team full of vets, yet when they go out and play they seem like minor league scrubs. Sure Zito gave up that HR 4 pitches into the inning, but after that, the defense behind him shares the blame. Mistake after mistake.. horrendous. I don't know about everyone else, but i'm not looking too much forward to our future either. Sure we have a solid pitching staff, but as we've seen, pitching is nothing without offense. I've seen that Fred Lewis can produce a spark and personally I like the way Frandsen plays the game. Schierholtz has shown when given a chance, but are any of these middle of the order type of guys? Nope, not to me at least.

Besides Bonds chase of the record, the Giants are done. Cain has nothing but himself to blame for the loss. For once, he deserved it. Learn to throw strikes.

With that said, I leave you with this quote from ARod on SF.. we can dream right?
"I love the stadium, I love where it is in the city and I love the vibe in the city,'' he said. "It's like a West Coast New York, except with better weather in the summer time.''

Yes, it does feel good, though stupid on the Yankees part lol. Anyhow, when I saw ARod due up in the 9th, I knew he was going to tie it up. Then in the 13th, we were pretty much destined to lose after seeing two of Vizquel's knocks go barely go foul twice. Ah well, 8 game losing streak is over.

Watched half of the game today against the Yankees. The Giants played decent small ball. And Bonds looked great rounding the bases today, he even got a stolen base. Great win, especially after yesterday's thriller. They needed this little boost because the Padres are coming to town.

Damn another nail biter, and luckily the Giants won their 3rd straight. It helps that it was against a division rival. Damn I really thought that the Padres were going to shut the door with Linebrink and Hoffman coming in.
