This has to ****ing stop.
We cannot trot Marmol out there every night...why he pitched yesterday with a 12+ run lead I HAVE NO IDEA....anybody paying any attention last year saw how he ran out of gas towards the end of the season and the post-season. They showed him warming up and I nearly blew my lid.
Bullpens can ruin a team's season, and as it stands, the pen is the part of this team that is not getting it done. If Wood's pitches can't get more movement, then he needs to be relegated. Marmol is probably too good to close...I like him pitching two tough innings.
If he closes, however, who will hold the lead in the 6-8th innings? Right now, we have no one.
We could have easily won all three games of this series. Marquis is going to hurt us only once in every 5 games, but the pen has blown it again.

Big Z had a good outing. Marmol came on in the eighth inning in a tough spot and struck out 2. Then Wood blows it by giving up 3 in the ninth. No excuse for that. If Wood comes in with a 1 run lead and Prince Fielder hits his best fastball for a game tying homerun I can understand it, but not what happened today. Wood's performance today was just unexcusable.Comment

I was so steamed yesterday, but I decided to calm down before I wrote although my boys in our fantasy league got a good laugh out of my tirade. We have 2 pitchers on this roster that I trust to get guys out. Z and Marms. Everyone else just can't be trusted.
The offense has masked the weakness, but my only goal is the title and it is laughable to think we can win with this garbage staff. They got away with it last year, heck the pitching stats were good, but it was a mirage.
I honestly think they should leave Marms where he is. If they move him, they will never get to him. They have big issues. The good thing is that the division sucks. All the teams have ugly warts. Fun times.

Tell me, honestly....how often do you think DLee and ARam will come to the plate with 2 men on while Soriano is leading off??? How often will it happen with Johnson/Theriot in front of them???
Let's take the 4 hitters in front of Lee...#8, The Pitcher, Soriano, Theriot....only ONE of those guys has a regular shot at getting on...Lou is too smart to let this Soriano crap go on and on...I can only hope that higher-ups are forcing him to play Soriano at the top of the order....
The P.o.S. can't get it done at leadoff, he can't get it done at 2, he can't get it done anywhere...I don't care how much we are paying his sorry ***, he should sit...we have 4 OFers that should be ahead of him at present. At least the ****ing Giants were wise enough to send Zito to the pen...
Seriously...this season is in the tank if this **** keeps up...mark my words...Soriano will kill this season. The pitching staff won't even have a chance to ruin it, because the hole Soriano puts in the lineup is too big to fill, and he will be taking rbis from our middle of the order guys ALL ****ING YEAR!!!!!!!

Well, I can rest assured knowing that the Cubs will finish with a better record than the ChiSox...
And the Brewers are in the same boat as the Cubs...a starting staff and a pen that raise questions among their supporters.

We do not need anymore outfielders thats for sure, we are filled: Braun,Cameron,Hart,Kapler,Gwynn Jr.
Soriano is a good player but it seems as if the Cubs are a stronger team when he is not in the line up.
EDIT**** Ok on second thought maybe that's a good deal after all because word just came in the Gallardo has a torn ACL which he suffered in yesterdays game! Bad news..............Comment
