good win today against a tough starter...Harang made us look bad a couple of times last year. We have to be able to beat teams' #1 and #2 guys...didn't work in Philly, but looking good so far against Cincy.

I like DeRosa. This guy seems to be able to do it all, though none of it in great abundance. If Fontenot gets more playing time with Soriano out, things could get interesting if both continue on their current paths...Fontenot, .900+ OPS (15 ABs) ; Soriano, potential kharma from the Sandberg trade.
      Australian Rules Football...just sayin'

Wow, Soriano goes on the 15 day DL and the Cubs call up Patterson instead of Murton. I'm guessing Lou wants more speed??

I like how this game started. And it looks like Reed Johnson has been a great move we have plenty of versatile players that can play many positions now

The more I see of Reed Johnson, the more I like.

Cubs beating the Reds 10-1 in the 3rd. Not even Wuertz could blow this lead.

From what I understand, Murton only has 1 option left. If we call him up, and it last longer than 15 days, and try to send him back down, he has to clear waivers......

I swear if DLee keeps playing like this, he will run away with MVP. The guy just doesn't stop hitting, that ball must look like its coming in at 50mph and as big as a softball right now

that hit put him above the .175 average line...he wanted to keep the ball...

seriously, though, why was ARam taken out? did he get hurt?

Not a prob 3king, and yes I hope they can keep this up also, I love the fact that they are taking lesser teams to the woodshed, and just crushing their spirit ealry and often.

This is something that we have struggled with the last 3 or 4 years. We could do well against the good teams( in season only ) and struggle with the ******s( not pc, sorry )

                                Couldnt agree more.

These past couple of years we havent been able to take the lesser teams to the woodshed, so to speak.

Its nice to see the Cubs finally taking advantage of them.
