Another good win today to finish the homestand at 7-0 I think we'll realy know where we stand at the end of this month. Most of the games will be on the road so this will be our true test

Atleast the first week of games are against the NL West. So thats a plus, especially the Padres who are missing Young and Peavy.

your right. what is it 23 of the next 32 on the road? what do you hope for? I know 23 of 23 is quite impossible but 16 of 23 should be realistic

I would like to see us go at least .500. Anything over that would be gravy. I think how we do on this road trip will depend on how we fair against the Padres and Dodgers. If we can win 5 out of 7 against those teams which we should, then 16-7 would be very realistic. If we struggle next week, it will be very tough for us to come out of this stretch with a .500 record during these 23 games.

Would you monkey asses lose already!?!!?
We win you win, we lose you still win!
We are slowly moving back up the N.L Central but gaining no ground on you guys yet which is getting frustrating.
It's a long season and I'm hoping that you and the Cards cool off soon and for a long period of time!
Congrats on the great ball you have been playing though!

You guys should probably just focus on the Wild Card.

7-0 homestand is good for me I agree with zito in that a .500 road trip would be good. The NL West is a shambles with the exception of Arizona, so we should be able to take some of those series.

Having said that, I'm very happy with the team right now and as long as we stay consistent, I'm good..

See I disagree that a .500 road trip would be acceptable, we have struggled so far on the road and this has to be corrected we cant depend on being good at home alone (sounds like a movie) theese next 23 road games must get us back above the .500 mark on the road for the season

                        Re: 2008 Chicago Cubs

Were facing some pretty darn good teams on this road trip in Toronto, Tampa Bay, that other Chicago team, and St. Louis. This isn't going to be an easy stretch by any means. This team is not the 1927 Yankees, were not invincible.

Hopefully we get this road trip started off on the right track tonight in San Diego.

                            Another big win tonight.

I said it before and I'll say it again.....I can't wait until Wuertz is off this roster. He walks 2 out of the 3 guys he faced and forces Lou to use Marmol......AGAIN.

I agree...Wuertz is a waste of a roster spot. I am glad we pulled out another win and a great way to start the road trip.
