yeah Oliver Perez cannot be trusted, he got paid 30 something million toelp put us in a whole early, then by mid may he will be either sitting at the house or in triple a or something, right now, outside of santana, none of our starters should be pitching.

and not only that....if the Mets management would have signed a THIRTY-FIVE year-old Lowe for all of those millions over a 4 or 5 year contract, certain Mets fans...those who think the Mets pocketbook is their own...would have been complaining from day one (like they always do) about "Why did we sign him for those many years? We know he's a very good pitcher, but that's a lot of money. Didn't they learn anything from Castillo's contract?"

Still, the price that is being paid for Ollie compared to Lowe is negligible. I truly believe it came down to Lowe not wanting to play in a big market.

To me, if felt like he used the Mets interest for leverage with the Braves. I could be wrong; he may have just wanted to longer contract.

Either way, Ollie still has the potential, and Peterson showed us that. They just need to get back to working on his mechanics and focused on the strike zone. They need to do something because his location is his biggest negative.

Any of you guys daring enough to set foot in CBP this coming weekend?

I'll be there on Sunday watching my Phils beat up the poor pathetic Mets......My first gm of the season, and should be an especially rawkus crowd.
