Lake with a successful debut and Shark pitched a great game. There is a headline to be made here, just don't know where.Cubs | Bulls | Dolphins | 'Noles

As far as the Garza deal, I don't see trading him just for the sake of trading him. If you are going to trade an All-Star caliber pitcher, then you better get an impact prospect in return.Cubs | Bulls | Dolphins | 'Noles

They will trade Garza. Just wake me up on August 1st to tell me where. Until that day, it's best to tune all this pseudo-deal junk out.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

I realize the chances of that happening are little to none, but I am a really big fan of Garza. The guy brings a great energy to the clubhouse plus he's a hell of a pitcher.
Edit: and I really hope Lake can put it all together. He's a freak of an athlete.Comment

If Garza is not traded and gets hurt in his Monday start, I can already see the pitchforks out at Cubs.com.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Re: The Friendly Confines: The Official Chicago Cubs Thread
I could see why though. If he goes down with an injury to his throwing arm it wouldn't be good at all. They miss out on getting some prospects that could contribute and you don't want to make a long term commitment to a guy who is injury prone (at least the last two years).Comment

So far. I'm not going to be a victim of the moment though. Want to wait and see how he does once pitchers have seen him a few times. How many times have we seen a player get called up and he crush the ball until the pitchers figure him out then we never hear from them again?
