You'd probably trade Castro for Bryan Price, right now.

Cubbies are looking at a plethora of pitching. I'm interested to see how the rotation shakes out if the team can get a top-end starter

Welcome newest Cubbie, Miguel Montero. I like what he can do from the left side. He's a much better receiver than Welington Castillo for my money as well. Even if the Lester/Ross combo doesn't come to Chicago, a Montero and Welly platoon would make for an above average 2-spot on the diamond.

Damn you Theo and Jon for making me spend my money. I think I might finally make my first trip to see the Cubs at Wrigley. Trying to organize a carpool to go see the opening night game with a few of my friends.

              Exciting times friends. Exciting times.

With everything from Lester to the renovation, getting to Wrigley on April 5th is must for me.

I've been generally excited for the past couple of years with the wave of young talent we have coming up, probably more anxious than anything. But this feeling, this level of excitement, is awesome. I can't even put it into words.

Joe Maddon, Jon Lester, arguably the best farm in baseball, all the young talent already at the ML level, the Wrigley updates, the looming TV deal.. it's all coming together guys.

                Theo's awesome

I might wander on down to the Cubs convention from Jan 16th-18th. Tickets are going to be a ***** to come by.

Yeah, reason why I was saying I hope you guys enjoyed the 3-4 seasons of good priced tickets because those days are about to be over.

They're doing holiday ticket packages and people are probably re-selling them. Spring Training goes on sale Jan 10th, group tickets in late January, and individual game tix usually right after that. That's how it's always been done. Haven't seen much info this year.

Anyone have any guesses as to what # Lester will wear? Along with Montero and Hammel? I assume Hammel will go back to 39 or keep 40.

According to a pair of Google searches, Lester is going to wear 33 and Montero 16. I'd guess you're correct when it comes to Hammel either sticking with 40 or keeping 39. Lester changes numbers because #31 is retired with Maddux and Jenkins. No idea why Montero went with 16 though, nobody on our team is number 26.

bluengold, that's hilarious. Loved the "ripped off the A's" line.
