Re: NBA 2K17 Defensive Settings Community Wiki
If Im reading you right (Durant as the ball handler and Curry the screener), I think you'd go to Durant's individual def setting and input this. Apologies I havent got the screen in front of me.
Screen: Over
Hedge: Stay attached
It wouldnt matter what you inpur the (center) stuff because in this example there is no center involved in the PNR.
Alabamarob is this correct?Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Defensive Settings Community Wiki
Excellent question.
The CPU can do that now. That being "sig" hedge defenders. You see this all the time with Draymond Green or when Boston will try and stay attached when Isiah Thomas is in a bad PnR situation. These are the good conversations I'm talking about. I'm very excited with where we're going!
Or another example would Durant. He will be the ball handler in PNR and the Screener in PNR. I'd want Over/Soft or Hard Hedge/Stay Attached in some combo for any action he is involved in. Only to be overridden by the individual settings of the other player. Like if Curry set a pick for KD then Curry would not Soft/Hard Hedge because his mans priority is really to stay attached.
But Zaza's Hedge could be set to double. And that could override the other settings.
The Hedge (Center) really isnt necessary or could be changed to (Screener).
I should be able to Globally say Dirk or Niko (NO HEDGE) regardless and they could be at the PF or C position.
The Stay Attached options should be attached to Curry and Korver types as well coming of Down Screens in Off Ball scenarios.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Defensive Settings Community Wiki
Doesnt have to be a small ball lineup. Consider the stating 5. With Zaza and Green. The Warriors are going to run PNR with KD and he will receive picks from all other players. Stay Attached on KD will impact Green at the 4 and Curry at PG the same. I dont play with the Warriors but I would run this offensively all the time. Not even as an intention exploit but because it makes could basketball sense to get Curry open threes.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Defensive Settings Community Wiki
To stop that cheese is to switch to your Center and turbo back so the other user is not throwing a long bomb. I use to get beat by that way when I was on Broadcast view. I switch to 2K view to avoid that. Also what you can do as well put extended pressure on the guards then forcing the other user to play a slow pace game.Comment

Unless I'm doing something wrong, I'm not getting No Hedge to work in MyLeague on XB1. Check out this over/no hedge setup on Jeremy Lin with Diallo as the center:

Re: NBA 2K17 Defensive Settings Community Wiki
Scott, from your stream I asked you about on screen display(OSD) if ACE is ON of OFF we should be notified in what defensive scheme were in so we don't mess up the D and call it broke. Just like when we are on offense, and we have it on the right setting to display the info "User Play - Show ALL" we get the OSD as to what type of Freelance we are in, so we act accordingly. This should also be on the defensive side of the ball so the gamer, will not be out of position and mess up the defense. Not all of us understand the scheme or our place in the scheme, but if we know what the D is focused on, it could mitigate the "AI is broken" talk.

Re: NBA 2K17 Defensive Settings Community Wiki
A short video on how defensive settings play out in a user v user HOF game. I was in all off ball gap, over screen, catch hedge most of the game. My opponent seemed to be in off ball tight and no hedge most of game. If you have any questions or comments please let me know.
