Here's my footage. In Pnr action, Butler (Cpu) attack away from ball screen and Middleton (user, me) who was a little too high at the 3 pt line was out of position to contest Butler who pulled up for mid range. Lopez who was guarding Town (I had set Catch on Hedge) came to help and contested the shot.

Both Middleton and Lopez were late on the contest.
They definitely alter the shot with lower success make.

In that clip it looks like the late contest by Middleton is the kind you get when either the game or your input lags for a split second; I'm thinking the game considered it on time even though the animation was a little awkward.

Looks like Lopez had a light contest added to Middleton's light contest; iirc Middleton has Defensive Stopper, even if it didn't cancel Butler's badges it would still lower his rating to some degree. The three added together was enough in this case.

Which stats should i invest to finish alley-oops?
      Vertical? Layups? Dunks?

I'm able to catch the ball, but i'm missing most of them...

Question, Does anyone know what the parentheses surrounding the letter mean in the overall play.what the does (B) and (S) mean at the end of the play name, e.g. Fist Dbl PIN(B).

For actual alley oop dunks,I think you need the Alley Oop Dunk package equipped.

If you can catch the ball but miss the shot, then I would say you need to increase Layup and/or Dunk.

If the problem is not being able to catch the ball at all, I think it's more of a factor of the Hands attribute (Quick Reaction badge) and team chemistry; Lob City Finisher badge will also help.

I think Czar just made a video about it. B is for Ball Handler (aka the play you select will be for that player as a ball handler) and S is for Screen (your guy will set the screen in the play you select).

How do you use advanced dribble moves when you switch the Pro Stick to "shots" only?

is there a way to hold position when calling for passes in MyCareer. like I setup for a corner 3 and half the time the pass to me makes my step forward when i catch it, then i end up shooting a long 2 instead of a 3.

I've watched a lot of Czar's videos so far this year and I kinda understand the difference between Freelance, and Series. But I guess I don't understand when they are being called/used.

I have Adaptive coaching on, and auto playcalling. I guess since I haven't played for a number of years, I'm a little confused on when they are being used or called by the CPU. Can anyone give me a little explaination?

I would say it has gotta do with the Offensive point of emphasis (POE) setup in pre-game gameplan - preference 1 (play through star), 2 and 3 and style (post game, pick and roll or get shooters open). Anyhow, u can still adjust it during game if yor default gameplan doesnt work for u in in-game. Like u are trailing and like to run some 3pt or mid range game, change yor offensive gameplan to get shooters open (u can use OTFP or just call time-out and go to coach mode). Or, u find yor shooters cold, then swap to PNR and play through yor best ball handler player. If u are running the Jazz or Bucks, best to run thru Ingles or Giannis. They are excellent ball handlers and many weak SF or PF PNR defenders. Actually, they play like this irl too.

If u set play calling to auto, the AI will call the play for u. Now, make sure u turn on the player's stat at the top rIght screen (d-pad up) as well play-calling display for all plays (coach settings). If u see a play (top right screen) that doesnt exist in yor playbook, thats a play from the Series. If yor AI decides to run Freelance, then the type of Freelance that is defaulted for each team (actually, the coach) will show. Bucks default is PISTON SNAP.

Note : Czar says if the AI didnt run the play for u, then call for a smart play to "initiate it".

The AI does not call the SERIES for u as it does not default it to any team. You have to call it either through OTFP or time-out coach setting. If former, do it before half court. If u call it after half court, I think it will only initiate it at the next possession (I notice it during scrimage). If u adjust it during time-out, the AI will call the play from SERIES right after the time-out.

Does anyone have tips on how to guard the post fade away? Something that someone like Aldridfe or Wade would use where he bumps you, spins out and pulls up for the jumper? Because I am having so much trouble defending that. If I use the right stick I’m out of position and it’s an easy bucket for the AI Because the post fadeaway create so much space, and if I use triangle to jump into position and it’s a pump fake then I can’t recover to defend and I get scored on.

How do I see my team's hot spots? ie: I play with the Nuggets, where can I go in the game to see each players hot zones?

Also, is there any where (or anyone willing) to explain some of the different terminology used for plays in-game? ie: Fist, Punch, Give, Quick, etc. So when a play is called, if I'm not familiar with it, surely it's name/terms will at least give me a quick idea of what it's doing, right?
