But you should probably wait until I post an update. The values in the OP are from over a month ago and the game has been patched multiple times since.

Alright, so I'm finally back testing 2K20. Something about the trade deadline always gets me in the mood for some NBA.

Made a quick update to the settings in the OP. I think these game speed and movement sliders are as good as it gets, honestly, and I pray 2K don't tweak anything else going forward. The game looks and feels AMAZING as far as dribbling, defending, speed/accel, and animations are concerned.

Removed a few settings that were previously posted as the last update I posted was in December and the game has changed drastically since then. I pretty much started my set over from scratch but have made some very quick improvements throughout the day today. It's still incredibly difficult (more like IMPOSSIBLE) to get anything resembling realistic fouls in this game, and I might just give up my testing in that area to focus on things I CAN actually affect.

Now that movement and animations are essentially perfected (IMO), I can focus fully on AI Tendencies and overall difficulty and finally get a full set posted for you guys.

One suggestion to get decent fouls is to go edit tendencies and put hard foul and foul tendencies to 100 for all players. I’ve been getting 40-45 free throws combined for user and cpu. Also jack up all foul sliders to 100

I don’t make roster edits simply because I want my slider set to give consistent results to the vast majority of players who only use the 2K default roster. Once my set is posted I will probably move on to testing sliders for one of the custom rosters, but not a roster I edit myself.

And yea I basically have all foul sliders set to 100 except for Reaching and Illegal Screen (both at 50 for now), and CPU Shooting Foul is at 60 as posted in the OP.

Made a small update to the OP. Just added additional Game Speed options for those who like a faster/less heavy feel to gameplay. I wouldn't recommend going above 56 or below 54, as this is the sweet spot.

When increasing Game Speed from the base of 54, make sure to also decrease the Speed/Accel attribute sliders the same amount. So if increasing Game Speed to 56 (+2), make sure to decrease the Speed/Accel attributes for both User and CPU by 2.

Edit to clarify: The base settings at 54 game speed is still the best/most realistic.

ACE is on.

This isn’t uploaded to PSN because it’s not a full slider set yet. The idea is that you should be able to plug my settings in to essentially any slider set out there (or at least any slider set made for Superstar or HOF difficulty).

This week I finally came back to the game and started working on a full set, I just get bored quickly so my progress has been a little slow [emoji53]

forgive me if I missed this but what value are the rest of your "Defense" sliders for (Layup def strength takeoff, release & jump shot def strength gather, release) set at?

As is the case with all my threads, if it’s not in the first post then you’re not missing anything. I haven’t posted a full slider set so the values posted in the OP should work with any Superstar/HOF slider set.

I’m working on an update as we speak but it’s not ready yet. When I get the set playing up to par with my usual slider set quality, it will be posted.

Whatever your slider set of choice has for the non-listed sliders should work fine. You'll basically get my movement and animations + the AI tendencies and shot success of your chosen slider set.

I'm seeing some great improvements in my current testing, so god willing my full slider set shouldn't take too long to be posted!

Don't discard the possibility of it being perceptual illusion and the game actually still being the same. Especially if you play on broadcast, since cameras have different positions on each court. The brain is also great in adapting to whichever pace after you played for a while. What feels good in the middle of a long session might feel crappy when you start another one fresh.

team tempo, is the culprit. not the gamespeed. I've experienced the same thing. Ill save a game against an AI controlled team, load it again and the game is playing at a different speed/tempo.

dont forget that AI controlled teams change their tempo/pace of play throughout a game.

Also tempo, seems to effect everything. at times it doesn't feel organic, especially when you start a game, and the players are moving way too fast or too slow.

This may sound crazy but i really do believe its the servers...Something is happening each time I play the game and it is frustrating to say the least ...
