Ihate NBA2k11, for offline players who are OCD about stats, the stat glitch and the lack of offensive rebounding ruined that game. I hated both NBA2k11 and 12. It was either 13 or 14, when they finally fixed the stat glitch, although sim stats still arent perfect, but better than they were back then. Sure 11 had some positives, but IMO it was worst game as was 12, as far as Im concerned. Both of those yrs, I almost gave up on NBA2k and went to text sim basketball that Wolverine sports puts out.

"2K actually completely destroyed my set. Not sure I have the heart to do this bs again. God I hate this game."

That's from Shady Mike's Twitter. Hopefully no one here is getting that discouraged. I'm hoping he still tries, but his frustration is completely understandable.

The life of a slider guru. Sometimes you just need to take a break from the game and let 2K get their **** together. Otherwise you end up putting in countless hours just for 2K to set you back to square one.

Tweaking sliders gets very tedious very fast. Re-treading tweaks you had previously settled on makes you want to snap the disk and forget about the game for good.

That’s why i disconnect from the internet. Only if there is a huge shoe or player likeness update will I reconnect . Been doing this for 2 years now. I refuse to have those clowns at 2k mess with my sliders with there ridiculous updates.
Maybe that is why I’m getting a different experience with my sliders. I have not connected on line in weeks.

Yea, unfortunately I stay connected because I want to make sure what I’m experiencing is the same thing the people who use my set will experience. If I was just tweaking for myself though I would 100% disconnect from 2K’s servers [emoji28]

I'm sure that's why with each passing year the amount of people doing slider work dwindles. I wish somehow 2K could/would have MyLeague and MyGM completely seperate from anything to do with Park and MyTeam. I honestly feel they should make seperate games.

It’s mind boggling that they don’t. Those who play online want to cheese with their MyPlayer they spent $100+ to max out, and that in no way reflects true aim basketball.

Hopefully this issue is resolved for next gen so that online modes are a separate entity from offline modes so that 2K can push their ridiculous bi-weekly “fixes” to appease the crying 12 year olds on Twitter without screwing up the offline gameplay more than it already is.

Maybe then we can even get realistic fouls offline without scaring the online crowd away from playing the game.

Hopefully, but I just don't see that happening. 2K has left the sim fanbase in the dust to appeal to cheesers. Its the reason everytime NBA 2ktv with that annoying prick and the hot chick annoy me. They're just the embodiment of the new direction NBa 2k is going.

Yeah it's ridiculous. I wouldn't have an issue with the online players if it wasn't ruining the rest of the game. The park would actually be cool to me if it represented real streetball but it doesn't. It's getting closer and closer to NBA Jam with each passing year. 2K should just make NBA Playgrounds or whatever is called for the online players. If EA were smart they could be jumping on the chance to make the better basketball sim, but they for whatever reason lost the ability to make a good basketball game period so 2K can just be lazy when it comes to the game as a whole. It really sucks!

Yep and the episodes are 99.9% online based. I don't give to sh**s who grinded all day everyday to reach 99 or legend or whatever with their myplayer. I only mess with the mode myself to get a few trophies while I wait to start a MyLeague.

the game is a sim experience. its not 2k's fault for this, blame the users who play online.
online, you cant fix users and the way they play. and 2k cant nerf the game to purposefully handicap a player's ability.

the only way the on line sim user will fully get a sim experience is actually quite easy to do. they could just name the online courts. have the courts say rookie, sim, casual, arcade.
the fact that 2k does track myplayer tendencies, they could regulate who actually plays on a sim court. if the user doesnt meet a certain criteria, they arent allowed on a certain court or what have you.

I dont play online-but if I wer a developer that's what I would do. offline the game is a sim experience.

Completely disagree on offline being a Sim experience. Sliders are necessary because it's not. Then you have 2K updates that Jack up the experience across the board and ruin people's slider work.

Im the same way, I dont play online, but if I were a dev, I would equip the online, the way you suggested. Because many players, claim to be sim guys, yet their play is far from what you see IRL,lol.

Im not sure I would say offline is a simulation experience, even with slider adjustments, you cant get a true simulation experience. You can improve it from default settings, but there is still a lack of variety of fouls that get called. You see very few blocking and charging fouls, and even less shooting fouls on perimeter shot attempts.
I think you will see a few more of these fouls, if you play on the higher difficulties, but some of us old guys, cant play on those settings, and have to settle for pro or all star. Gameplay basics on the lower difficulties, like fouls, should not change regardless which difficulty you play on. Really the only things that should change on lower difficulties is the CPU should make more mistakes/turnovers.

I also think there is just flaws in the coding, that no amount of roster editing and slider editing will fix it. Although both of those things can improve the gameplay, if you have the time and patience to do it yourself, or wait for others to edit these things, and then find the roster and sliders that you like best.

I've been wondering the same thing. The slider forums have been mostly dead. Seems like everyone's throwing in the towel on 2K this year.
