Sure is. I had to take a 2 week break recently to refresh. I like HOF but little things like Offensive rebounds, stamina do require tweaking. Then when I tweak the sliders just a bit on HOF it seems like I'm back on Superstar on occasion. It is driving me crazy.

A lot of sliders I find are too easy, can get by the CPU very easily with fast players to score. I can turn it on anytime and pull out a W and that is never fun on sports games.

Well thanks for the hard work man. I do think 2K mailed it in this year with WWE and NBA with new systems coming. Show coming soon at least.

Trying to rebuild the Knicks with a MYLeague with your sliders. I like those kind of rebuilds, the hardest ones.

Yeah, Im having a heck of a time, trying to finalize my sliders so I can start a My League. Im about to give up, and just start a ML. I told myself this yr I was going to worry less about fine tuning sliders, and roster editing, and just play the game, like I use to yrs ago, before I got so OCD about having to have everything just right, stats wise and gameplay wise. Mainly because its been several yrs since Ive even finished 1 season of the Association, due to being overly OCD.
I think its been worse this yr, because there is so many things I like about the game and how it plays, that I think if I can just get the sliders right, and make some quick roster edits, it would be good to go,lol. Where in yrs past, by this time, I knew it was a lost cause, so I just quit playing, do to burnout from editing rosters and sliders.
I know there is going to be a few stats, that cant be fixed, no matter what you edit, but I think everything else is so close, that it can be fixed, just got to find the right adjustments. Yet every time I get close, 2k puts out a update, and I feel like Im back to square one with sliders settings. I kind of hate to complain, because over the yrs, most of us would complain about them not doing enough to try improve things, LOL. But it is frustrating when you feel you have your sliders set, and a update comes out and your almost back to square one with sliders. It even more frustrating, when you know they aint trying to improve the game for us offline Franchise type guys, and its them catering to the whiny little kids who play online

        - Eccentric's game speed, acceleration and speed attribute sliders and his entire movement section;
        - My own personal tweaks of 65 direction/25 distance/10 openness for pass target profile and 50/58 for 3PT success instead of 49/60 of Schnaidt's.

It was the closest to perfect for me after trying a lot of different slider sets. But I'm still expecting Eccentric's full set and hoping it could be the definitive experience, the guy is very wise.
Dude... thank you so much for this. I tried out the combination you suggested, and it's working pretty well. Nothing is ridiculous. Only issues are that the CPU has a bit too many shot attempts per game and my defensive rebounds are a bit high. But it's probably the closest I've gotten to perfect so far. I'd been struggling for a while to get the CPU to actually shoot three-pointers. They would rarely even hit 30. Three-point shot attempts in the low 20s was common and that just isn't accurate to the modern NBA. With the slider combo you suggested, the CPU shot 38 attempts in the last game I did. Finally. My shot percentage is also a bit high but that can be adjusted easily.

        Thanks again.

Re: NBA 2K20 "The Eccentric Edition" - Realistic Slider Set

Hey guys, question for you all.

I played NBA 2K16 and got pretty good at it vs the CPU and slowly changed sliders and upped difficulty so it was still fun. I picked up 2K20 on sale...and I just suck at it. I went ahead and started using it on superstar using EccentricMeat’s sliders, Shady Mike’s tendencies, and schnaidt1’s MyLeague settings.

I am watching YT videos, going into practice, and trying to get better. So in addition to that, I had a few questions for you all since you use the sliders:
          • I find my games are really low scoring. Both me and the CPU are below 100. Any suggestions?
          • I turn the ball over a lot, mainly in terms of just passing to the other team or out of bounds?
          • If I started on a difficulty easier than Superstar, then bumped up later, do you think that works? Or does that break the sliders?
          • Is there another set of sliders or tendencies I should try instead?

          Thanks for the help!

That’s hard to give a quick answer to, as there are a lot of potential factors influencing your results.

Why are your games low-scoring? Is it a lack of shot attempts? Too many turnovers? Not enough FTs? Low FG%? Once you know the specific factor(s) causing your low scores, you just need to make some small tweaks to fix it.

With turnovers from off-target passes, you probably just need to increase the Pass Accuracy slider. The more difficult passes you attempt (passes in the middle of a shot attempt or when surrounded by defenders), the more likely you are to turn the ball over and the more a low Pass Accuracy slider has an affect.

Thanks for the thoughtful response. If needed I can play a game and get a box score, but so far it's been low scoring because of low FG% for both teams (it feels like I manage to play decent defense, hold CPU to ~20 points a quarter) and especially turnovers for me. It's not uncommon for the first quarter to end 18-12 or something like that. I tend to do a bit better in the 2nd when the other team gets their backups in and I can pick on the less-skilled players.

Some of the turnovers by me are just dumb (that's me being impatient), but when I shoot the ball, it feels like I can't get any open looks from down low. I've practiced post moves and layups, but then when I get into the game, up-and-unders stop working, fadeaways clank, layups get swatted. It's like there's something with how I'm executing or how the AI is playing that is different in games vs practice.

I’m not sure what tendencies Shady is using at the moment so I can’t help much with the CPU scoring more points, but if your shot is just not dropping then you can either increase the shot success sliders than you need, or decrease the Defense Strength sliders that are affecting your trouble areas.

Thanks for the suggestions. I did a few things:
                  • Upped my inside scoring to 52 (it was 50).
                  • Dropped defensive awareness for me and the CPU from 75 to 65
                  • Dropped lateral quickness for me and the CPU from 75 to 70
                  • Dropped blocks (I can't remember how much)
                  • Upped my pass accuracy to 48

I may have done other things, but the game seemed much easier. I may send some of those back closer to the original values, but I at least had an interesting and good game. Scoring was still low, but I realized I was on 11 minute quarters - going to 12 may change that.

                    @EccentricMeat

Using your sliders with Schnaidt's set except just tweaked shooting and some defense for Superstar vs Pro. I am getting close to "perfect" (how I want it to play) except for two areas, Free Throws made by the CPU and 3PA by the CPU. Was reading your old other older post about the shot defense sliders and wanted to see what you thought about these defense sliders with your setup.

                    User/CPU
                    Driving Contact Shot Freq 100/100
                    Inside Contact Shot Freq 100/100
                    Layup Defense Strength (Takeoff) 45/85
                    Layup Defense Strength (Release) 70/65
Jump Shot Defense Strength (Gather) 25/25
Jump Shot Defense Strength (Release) 44/40 (bumped the CPU down from 42)

Since I am using your on-ball defense slider of 70/70 (compared to 1/1), lateral quickness 75/75 (compared to 50/50), and contest shots at 70/70 which direction would be best for me to try and see more 3PA and pull up shots in general from the CPU.

Also for FT% my last game the CPU was 13/23 while I was 17/21. My Free Throw difficulty is at 65 and Shot Timing is Real Player %. Is there anything I can do to bump them up a little?

Thanks in advance and also for your set!

Alright, so I'm TRYING to work on an update. But with the season being called off, I'm finding very little motivation. That being said, I'm gonna give it a shot.

Right now I'm pretty much settled on these movement-related sliders:

                              Game Speed - 60

(Settings are the same for both User and CPU)

                              Ball Security - 60
                              Body-Up Sensitivity - 100

Driving Contact Shot Frequency - 100
Inside Contact Shot Frequency - 100

                              Acceleration - 50
                              Speed - 50

Speed with Ball (Max) - 65
Speed with Ball (Min) - 45
Acceleration with Ball (Max) - 65
Acceleration with Ball (Min) - 45
Speed without Ball (Max) - 80
Speed without Ball (Min) - 60
Acceleration without Ball (Max) - 80
Acceleration without Ball (Min) - 60

Now I'm off to fine tune the defense-related sliders, and then I'll move on to tendencies.

Hopefully there's still people playing this game and interested in sliders. If not, well at least my lack of motivation won't let anyone down

Your adjustments have changed this game for the better so please keep it going! THANKS again
