Well according to the description, teammates are given 2 attribute points to their offensive abilities (1st level) when this player is on the floor. But again, when I pull my teammate ratings during a game, I don't see a difference. Is this sig skill not working properly or is it hidden?

In what situations can I reach in for a steal without getting a foul called? I was never one to spam steal, but when a big man has his head away from me holding the ball why can't I as a PG come up and steal it from his hands?
I can't say for certain it wouldn't help as I haven't tested this out myself, and given that I work with SPs, I'd rather spend it somewhere else. But just based on the description of sig skill, it doesn't sound like it would help as much as just learning the timing of when to go for a steal. It'd be cool if someone here who has this skill and tested it with and without and provide feedback.

As far as reaching in without getting a foul called - based from my games - I find it's really a gamble, with fouls being more common. I don't spam either, when I reach in, it's usually when I double team and we're in that trap animation or when a big is posting up or the big is going up for a shot. More often than not, I get a foul called. I would say 80% of the time, it's a foul. (Actually got DQ'd several times already testing this out haha) I wish they'd just make it an unsuccessful swipe instead of a foul about 1/3 of the time. But yea. Short answer from me: take a chance at a swipe only a few times a game (or be ready to rack up fouls and sit out quarters) I've had my most success getting a swipe when trapping, especially when it's the backup PG handling the ball. Call a double team a few steps before he gets to the halfcourt line and trap him.

How do you get the role/status of STAR?

I find it strange I'm rated 91 and I'm just a starter and Steph Curry is 89 and a star. I'm in my second season with the Warriors (drafted 7th).

Does your status change when you sign a new contract?

You can't get that star status. I have no idea why.

I could really use some advice from you guys.

I started a new Career yesterday, 6'8, 220 lbs, athletic SF. I got drafted by the Trail Blazers who I like but I also really want to play with the Cavs. I would just love playing with Kyrie, Dion Waiters and Varejao

I'm not sure if I should ask for a trade right away or if I should just stay with the Blazers, but I'm sure I would love both scenarios. But if I ask for the trade I wanna do it immediately so they don't have to give up a good and important player for me.

Can anybody tell me which team would be better suited for me? Also note, I don'T neccesarily want to go for a Championship in my rookie season, I would love to build up a great team for the future.
          Much appreciated.

I honestly don't think it does anything. I feel scammed or cheated to waste my VC on it. This is something 2k should address because some people do spend their money on VC and there is no refund system in place.

This does depend on which roster you are using as the base for your career. The pre-trade Raptors are a different team then the post trade Raptors as an example.

Assuming that you are using the latest default roster... I'd look at several teams besides the Cavs (which is a good choice as well). I'd suggest looking at Utah Jazz... they are a superstar away from a multi-year winner. Another choice might be the Golden State Warriors, although their playbook is not as nice to the athletic inside the paint SF.

If you prefer the Eastern Conference, the obvious choice of New Orleans Hornets(Pelicans?) is there, but the less obvious choice of the Washington Wizards is also a dynamic team waiting for a true SF... remember... injuries are always reset when starting a new career, so John Wall will be active and so will players like Bynum and Rose. Speaking of the 76'ers ... they might be a fun team as well. Jrue Holiday, Bynum and yourself would be a powerful "big 3"...

              Hope that helps.

Thanks a lot first of all. And yeah I'm using the newest roster.

I also like the other teams you suggested but my initial thought was to play on a very young team that will develop as Championship and I think that with Kyrie Waiters and Zeller the Cavs look very good for the future. So do the Wizards though with Wall and Beal..
Do you have any experience with one of those 2 teams? Can they make shots, get boards and play defense? Thats by the way the one thing I'm struggling with as for the Cavs.. Tristan Thompson doesn't look all that good right now averaging about 4.5 Boards a game if i recall correctly.

Is there anything you could possibly tell me about Ratings, tendencies and stuff? I won't be home until tomorrow night to look for it myself..

                Again thanks for your help

Mine is the same height but got less weight (which was a mistake btw). The stronger and taller your C is, the better. If anything, it will help you earn more VC in less time.

My guy is 90 OVR and he's only in his second season, plus that is from only playing MyCareer. There's no other way of earning VC involved.

Well, I've just been thru a seven game series against the Cavs on my 2nd season. They signed Howard but what I can tell you is Irving and Waiters become beastly perimeter shooters and Irving doesnt miss a layup. Varejao is a very reliable defensive player/rebounder and Zeller takes some more time to develop.

Oh, and Waiters is a ballhog, but he's lights out.

I don't know they miss so many of these. I guess it's just a tiny detail, but take all these tiny details together. You'd think it's such an easy thing to implement. Another thing I noticed is how can your team have the best record in the league and not have home court advantage in the Finals? It's been like since 2k11.

Yea, I'm starting to believe some of these sig skills don't work. I miss the days when Live got all the hype.

I made the Center I was talking about, went into the showcase and fouled out intentionally. Heat, OKC and Cavs interviewed me. Heat and OKC loved me, Cavs did not. And this is the weird part. Heat passed on me and OKC got me... I am really unhappy, I wanted to play for the Heat as a C, but I guess OKC is fine too...

This got me thinking, if my PG has a 99 passing, do I still need Dimer as one of my signature skills? It seems redundant.

You can test it out if it makes a difference. The only reason I got dimer is for the sig's alleged zero passing errors. I say alleged because I still see bobbles or players fumbling the catch or the ball just glancing off their hands when the pass is practically a handoff. If you encounter more fumbles/bobbles, then Dimer works. If it's about the same, then it's not working. I'm curious to know what the results are.

Put on the Nike Hyperfuse 2012 (if you signed with Nike), it'll at least bump up your vertical by 5.
