Next game I lost by 3. But the guarded shots that were going in were plays designed off screens for durant, curry, and livingston. Where you get the ball in flow go up and defender is closing out at the shooter. It was not like a player just dribbling down the court and just pulling up in someones face 1 on 1. So that type of play style still feels safe from not being effective thankfully.

I upped offensive in air collision to 60 and toned down lay up ability to 20 for both human and cpu to try and reduce some of the lay ups from going in. I do see some missed or blocked on occasions. Will keep testing out tweaks. I wouldn't mind if there was way to get more foul calls in place of a made lay up to mix things up a bit.Comment

Just hoping player lock is in League play and if possible please... add a Drive like camera (or ball lock camera) that shifts baseline camera slightly to sides.
Also don't know what it is about this game but it reminds of old days like Live 95. In the "other" game after a while I felt like I was just running and gunning back and forth watching cool animations play out as I never wanted to learn 25 plays or all of 40 intricate controller moves to really get depth.
I just wanted something once a night to play a few games against cpu that were fun, exciting and competitive that were not dumbed down arcade yet also not a full time job. I do play other games too.
This game is THAT. The realism of the grinding, dribbling, shooting, defense, presentation and immersion all tie together.Last edited by Klocker; 08-14-2017, 05:36 PM.Comment

The new update made it feel easier to knock down shots. I was hitting more shots while guarded but in the flow of the game and blew out the cavs on allstar. Prior to the update I had not blown out any of the cpu teams on allstar. It would either be a close game or the cpu blowing me out.

The nz demo I was drafted 4th by the suns. When I played 2nd time with us demo I was drafted 13 by nuggets. I think because my nz player had more height and weight I was looked at as more valuable early on because I played about same quality on both.Comment

I only watched the demo many times but man that would be so annoying knowing it was going in all the time, due to the animation...Wouldn't people playing online see this and be able to run down court because they don't have to worry about a rebound? (When playing Multiplayer)
(Offline this wouldn't be a problem vs cpu), 2k has the green light also which means automatic, that's fine for me because I play offline.
Both live and 2k ONLINE players how are you going to address this, whats the strategy?
I say this because why chase a guy and use your turbo to get in position for a rebound, since it's useless anyways if the animation says its going in. just stop playing defense 100% because its' going in.. and save a lot of energy...
I guess it would maybe be neutralized in a way because BOTH players are getting the same animation when its a sure thing...
I play offline,but I sure hope for you guys online for BOTH games it doesn't take away the fun.. or allow someone to cheese!
Last point, Glad to see LIVE has a decent foundation now, next year cut the B.S and just keep working on it.. they will get there!Comment

Another thing I noticed on some loose balls I will have a player nearest to the ball but he stands there and allows the cpu to scoop it up. Is there a dive for the ball button or do you just have to move towards the ball and hope your player picks it up.Comment

I noticed that. On all star he plays exactly like his real self, just dunking on folks regardless of who is in front of him.
One thing I'm worried about when the full game comes out, is when people complain too much about the flaws and EA goes in trying to tweak and ends up making the game worse. I swear NBA Live 16 played a lot better on release day.
