The best thing for Live was to release this demo. They get immediate feedback on things they can probably tinker with before release and also I'm sure patches will come. Hopefully patches won't kill the game because it's already fun as is, just small things need fixed. Not sure how much of a demo is the final version.

But after a few games i had like 50,000 to spend on crates. 8 items would only cost you like 8,000. Not a big deal with the amount you get per game

Maybe zroh, but I'd rather not have to buy a bunch of stuff I don't want just to get one thing I actually do. Consider if you just wanted a Spicy Chicken Sandwich from Wendy's and in order to get it you are forced to pay $5.00 to order Grab Bag #1 which could include either that sandwich or a 5 piece nugget or a Bacon cheeseburger and you have no idea what you are getting..lol. Not a big deal, just annoying..

Game has flaws, 2k has flaws. I haven't had this much fun with a basketball game in a while though.

We all get the fact that all games have flaws but the problem is that too many people are not mentioning them is their post, it's just blind praise. I had been playing the game since Thursday was drafted #1 but then after numerious, I dont even recall how many games I played, I started to lose on Sunday the reason I started to lose was because I just stopped caring the obvious flaws took me out of the game, after constanting seeing the AI not go after loose ball, bad rebounding, too many contested shots going in in the paint, canned dunked by Lebron I could not anymore I needed a break, they game has its positive but it also has its negatives, both should be discussed so they can be addressed.

I have definitely seen a lot of critique in this thread idk what you're seeing.. The game is offering a lot of positives though, and people are naturally excited to have two basketball options this year with Live being respectable.

Game has flaws, 2k has flaws. I haven't had this much fun with a basketball game in a while though.

Obviously 2K has flaws. But this game has far more of them. There is a certain level of 2K bashing going on in this thread, and it seems like people are glossing over the issues this game has. Why? That doesn't help make the game better. Pointing out the flaws does. Particularly because we know devs browse these forums. Fun is subjective. I thought The One was relatively fun for me because playing in the Rucker and the Dyck was a cool new experience. But I didn't have much fun with the actual NBA teams, and the online is a mess, mostly because of the awful players but, also because there's a clunky delay on everything I do. I discuss the flaws 2K has on that part of the forum. I fully intend to discuss the flaws this game has. I can't gloss over them and just sing its praises. Particularly because, in my opinion, this game has some serious flaws.

Well. Agree to disagree. I don't personally see this as that much of a competitor for 2K. Not yet.

I don't think it's as good as 2k yet either, but this is a damn good start from where they've been. I and I'm sure others can finally see a vision/direction.

How many times can we repeat the same thing though?

We all know its something off about the game with shooting, rebounds, automatic layups, to many blocks etc. All we can do is wait and see.

Live 16 was decent. . Tons of issues and the game as of today is not and day compared to release day and latest tweaks. We could all assume patches will be here at some point.

Its not all blind praise. Some folks can accept the game for what it is at the moment. It is truly a Nba Live game. Just like 2k18 will be a 2k bball game. The good and the bad. Legacy issues aint going nowhere anytime soon. Madden and 2k prove that every year. And now Live.

Cons.
Interior D needs a lot of work.
Not enough variation
robotic movements
To many contested layups(Looking at you ZAZA)
Something iffy about jumpshots(I honestly dont have this issue)
No true fastbreaks.
Magnetic Defense
Not enough signature styles
Same Bad commentary
Dribble moves are hit or miss
Clunky Right stick.



I had a great analogy with bad chick vs average but it aint worth it here. I hope both games get there. Both games have been horrible for the last few years.

Yep. It was a challenge. I lost by 8 against the Cavs and 22 against the Warriors. But it felt relatively unfair at times. The AI making some crazy contested shots on the perimeter and in the paint. Their 4th quarter was nuts.

I hope we all do. I doubt the devs dont know the game is far from complete. But making sure to check blind praise(will happen in both parts of the forum) seems boring. I hope you all can find as much enjoyment out of the game as some of the others.

Should make a official bugs/glitches need fixes thread. Might help the devs comb through all the blind praise.

I hope someone does it needs it own thread, we have a few weeks before release we need to give them as much imput as we can.
