Re: Official NBA Offseason/Player Movement Thread
Tyson's contract goes for 2 more years at 12 mill then 13 mill player option
And OSU, YEP.. although I don't know who they can throw in by looking at the payrollComment

Re: Official NBA Offseason/Player Movement Thread
More than likely Kwame and another player but it wouldn't be more than 2 players Detroit would be sending.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: Official NBA Offseason/Player Movement Thread
Doesn't Tyson make something like 14 million per year?
So at worst, they'd need to offer at least 8 million in contracts.Too Old To Game Club

Re: Official NBA Offseason/Player Movement Thread
If DET can get Tyson for Kwame then of course it's a deal.
However I don't know what the other players would be.. I don't think it can be only 2 players. And Maxiell is decent I dunno if DET would want to part with him.
OSU Tyson will make 12 and 13 mill over the next 2 yearsComment

Re: Official NBA Offseason/Player Movement Thread
Yeah, it's $11.8 mil this year for Tyson.. The following would work money wise since the Pistons have about $3-4 mil cap space following the BG/CV signings:
Rip
Tayshaun
Oberto/Maxiell
Maxiell/Kwame
Kwame/Oberto + Bynum/Sharpe/Stuck/Afflalo
They should trade Rip IMO... the Hornets could really get some use out of him and there simply isn't room for Stuckey, Gordon, and Rip in a backcourt rotation... nobody of that group should only be playing 24 MPG or so, especially with the money BG and Rip and getting. Rip's signed through freakin 2013... they can't have $12+ mil on their payroll all those years while paying Gordon for the next 5 as well.Send your Midnight Release weirdo pics/videos to my new website: http://www.peopleofmidnightreleases.com!Comment

Hornets should go after RIP, but they are hurting financially it seems.Comment

Re: Official NBA Offseason/Player Movement Thread
Oberto was bought out, he is no longer with DET
Maxiell and Kwame would not add up, but I have always been a C student at math
And yes NO's is cheap. Hamilton would be perfect for them however and he has a similar contract to Tyson.Comment

Re: Official NBA Offseason/Player Movement Thread
Hmm, yeah, looks like Maxiell and Kwame wouldn't be enough... I think DET is closer to the cap now than I thought, especially since I think it went down a bit from last year. I looked all over the place and can't find the official cap number for this year -- can anyone find that?
It was $58.6 mil for last season, and DET is right around $57 with BG and CV in the fold... slightly less since Gordon's contract isn't an even $11 mil per, it gets heaver as it goes I think.Send your Midnight Release weirdo pics/videos to my new website: http://www.peopleofmidnightreleases.com!Comment

Re: Official NBA Offseason/Player Movement Thread
The official cap number will be known on the 8th of July when all the accountants are done going through the books.Comment

Re: Official NBA Offseason/Player Movement Thread
Honestly, the NBA needs to do away with the July 1 negotiation day and just wait till all the books are checked by the accountants and the Cap number is set...So let the first day of negotations and signings be july 8...
You huys remember John Salmons?
Verbal commit to a deal with the Raps on July 1st, then 2 weeks later he rescinded that and went to SacTown.Comment
