Whatever helps you sleep at night. Is May going to Chicago to help you guys lose to Miami for the next 6 years?Comment

Re: 2011 NBA Draft Discussion Thread
I don't know where you're getting that with Kemba and Biyombo. What are you basing that assumption off of 1Rose?
Kemba will be one of the best picks in this draft, and in a weak draft, getting a tough athletic big man for defensive purposes, I call that a big time win.
I know to each their own, but I don't see this as a fail at all. Granted, Biyombo probably didn't need to be picked that early, but if they didn't pick him then, he probably would have been taken soon thereafter. So if they wanted him, sometimes you make unorthodox selections.
I don't see this as a lose-type situation at all though. Kemba will be a stud. I would have went Williams at 1 and Kemba at 4 if I were the Cavs.Comment

What does Charlotte have to show for their lottery picks?Comment

Re: 2011 NBA Draft Discussion Thread
C'mon man, you don't know what the future holds for Biyombo or Kemba. Biyombo is a project player, and Kemba is a talented player. The Bobcats are rebuilding right now, and taking risk is apart of the rebuilding process. The Bulls had their fair shares of draft disappointments.Comment

Re: 2011 NBA Draft Discussion Thread
1Rose I don't see your logic at all.... can't you see that CHA wasn't aiming for that superstar to take them to a championship? they're looking for prospects who can develop into solid starters... they're tanking for the next drafts so aiming for the players with good upside is goodComment

Re: 2011 NBA Draft Discussion Thread
Besides, they're just starting their rebuild process (something you guys went through as well recently), how are they supposed to have any thing to show for it at this point?
Who's to say Kemba doesn't become an all-star PG in the league?Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

I SEE the logic that Charlotte has. I understand it very well, seeing the Bulls were in that position like 6-7 years ago.
I also see a complete and utter failure of execution in regards to that plan. There were no players in this draft that were going to help them, whatsoever and they had virtually no pieces to work with to move up to the top 3.
So why, on god's earth, would you waste a lottery pick on a guy with no offensive game and before the camp where the hype blew him up, wasn't even going to be drafted??
Put a package together, to stockpile picks for next season, when there is going to be more talent. Now they essentially wasted a lottery pick, on a guy that probably won't be in the league in 3 years. Or he'll be riding pine somewhere next to Adam Morrison as a cheerleader.
I can make that "blanket" statement when the new GM makes the old mistakes.Comment

Re: 2011 NBA Draft Discussion Thread
But like I said, who's to say he doesn't become an all-star? I'm sure we all thought Rajon Rondo going 24th overall (or whatever it was) was going to end up as an all-star and a top 5 PG in the league, and Kemba has had a much better college career than he did.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches.
