Want: For offline play, I’d love to see a Fight IQ rating. This could help make guys like Jon Jones feel harder to fight. Maybe have it work so that they kinda know when your more vulnerable for takedowns and pursue them at a higher rate at those times, stuff like that. Kinda like how Madden uses awareness ratings, plus it seems to effect how good people are in simmed games, so maybe it could be useful in a much wanted Universe mode ([emoji41]) so guys like Jon Jones and prime GSP can stay on top.

If knee elbow spam is a thing in UFC 4 it will be strictly an offline thing for me.
I will only play it offline with friends.

Re: UFC 4: Needs vs. Wants
Just a few days ago I had a guy throw literally 170 strikes in a single 3 minute accelerated round. And somehow in round 2 his stamina was still perfectly fine.
I have the video saved.. I havent uploaded any videos in months, but ill edit this 1 down and upload it, because its just insanely lame.
This game is comical sometimes.PSN: Lord__Hazanko

Re: UFC 4: Needs vs. Wants
Is there a reason devs don't try and break the game by spamming every move and finding OP things before launch? I know you can't find everything, but surely some of the stuff before UFC 3's launch could've been found beforehand?Comment

Re: UFC 4: Needs vs. Wants
Devs arent game testers. They dont have the time to sit there and play the game non stop looking for ways that some jerk ranked player will use to spam and win games. Even if EA hired 200 game testers it would still take time to identify potential spam. Thats not even counting all the times I heard people identify something as spam or an exploit and in reality it wasnt.
I'm not making an excuse for the devs. Just stating facts. There is always going to be spam or exploits in every sports game. I honestly havent seen a AAA level sports game that hasnt had one in recent times.Comment

Re: UFC 4: Needs vs. Wants
Thats a bit unrealistic. At launch, lets say 300,000 people buy the game. Out of that 300k, there is a significant group of people who play the game non stop competitively and even with that large group it takes people at least a week to find those exploits.

Re: UFC 4: Needs vs. Wants
For a second there, I thought I messed up when I saved the video, but it was just split between 2 video saves. I had to just go in and trim them up real quick.
Now look, I'm not looking for advice here. I already know a certain few people are going to use this as an opportunity to trash talk me. I'm, first of all, admittedly an average player, and just not playing great in general here. Also I'm using 1 of the worst fighters in the div vs 1 of the best.
Rounds 1-3
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/w2dislcp_H8" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>
In round 1 he comes out hot. I normally like to take my time in the first round and just try to read my opponent, and see what I'm working with. This guy doesn't give me any room to breath, and I'm just a step behind the entire time. No excuses, but it's hard to react to a non stop erratic onslaught with such a low tier fighter. In the end he still ended up striking out on 93 strikes. He missed 38 more strikes than I even threw.
Round 2, we have the same stamina despite him throwing 114 more strikes than me in the previous round. Obviously trying to be slick and counter this guy isn't going to work. So I decide to try and test his grappling instead. I'm clinching from the wrong side stance, but my leg is ripped up, so it's a conundrum. I eventually manage to mostly control him with my grappling for the round.
Round 3, I'm trying to pressure him to the cage, and do the same thing I did in round 2, but I'm just playing badly, and am unable to really get anything off.
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/30W-UN9FtAQ" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Round 4, I mange to do a decent amount of grappling.
And Round 5 I'm mostly playing badly, but I'm gassed out, with a crap fighter, so it is what it is. I manage to stand and bang into a KO though.
Now look. I get that it's Max, and high pressure is what he does. But these are 3 min accelerated rounds, and that pace is just completely insane. Across a real time, 5 minute round, that pace equates to 281 strikes for a single round... Also the way damage, and combos work, that high pressure packs high damage as well. Where Max is a volume guy, but not a huge power guy, in the game, he'll throw non stop, and just rock your **** non stop too. The absurd pace, compounded by the block breaker combo system, makes for, IMO, unbalanced game play.
Also, and this is my own fault for picking Ishihara, but what is with this player base? Who picks Max Holloway against the guy playing as Teruto Ishihara, and then just goes full on Mortal Kombat... on Quick Fight?
Obviously it's beatable. I got the win. But wow, that was not fun at all.Last edited by Haz____; 02-14-2020, 02:47 PM.PSN: Lord__Hazanko

Re: UFC 4: Needs vs. Wants
A couple of things I noticed:
- You hit on a few of the things already. Your opponent is using one of the highest rated guys when it comes to Cardio and you were getting hit alot. Even with that said, he was at about 75% perm stamina at the start if the 2nd after maintaining an insane pace.
- You did nothing to help decrease his stamina other than block. By now we all know the rules of the game. You cant drain someones stamina just because they are active and you block. You have to use head movement. You have to attack their body. Even without you doing that, it looks like during round 3, he's at 60% stamina.
- From 3:00 in the first round, you stayed in the pocket for the rest of the fight and because he had a significantly faster and better fighter, your opponent decided to keep throwing strikes because he was successful and you were in range.
I'll be honest, Haz_. I dont ever see them doing anything about this. They have made tweaks around the edges but they are never going to make it so that someone is going to be 50% or less perm stamina simply from throwing punches that are at best landing and at worst being blocked.Comment
