I'm going to buy the game period. Simply because I'm too big of a fan of MMA and gaming. I'm never going to not get a UFC game.... However. RAGDOLL KOS. I've been playing UFC 3 since the private beta till today. Ragdoll Kos are a necessity for me

Re: UFC 4: Needs vs. Wants

I'd like to add to those that would like higher framerates. I feel like the graphics on this game are actually fairly amazing with the exception of a few weird faces and body types, but most people can't see how pretty this game is because of the framerate discrepancies. I'd like an uncapped framerate in offline mode setting on a PC version in addition to the crossplay. High framerates really make the more disliked portions of this game begin to shine. A lot aren't playing on monitors so most can't see the things I'm talking about but those that have monitors know exactly what I mean. It's almost like you become psychic because you can see things happening a tiny bit faster because of the 144hz monitor you're using. I do think the graphics could use an upgrade as well as the offline mode, but I'd value a higher framerate over any of that. This not excluding that I'd like updated fighters, stamina, etc.

I love this game, but there are some tactics that are really annoying and they come from the “META” that the rules of the game create. The Devs didn’t intend this, but some players noticed it and exploited it and it became known. There are many of these little “exploits”.

The game runs at 60 FPS... you need to go into the settings and enable performance mode, yours might be set on the better graphics/less frame rate mode.

PS 4 Pro player issues. Enable performance mode. lol I remember my PS Base days.

Trust me if you are on a PS Base... UPGRADE to a Pro asap. Its gold for EA UFC 3.

That said, it shouldnt be gold. Its unfair. Once I upgraded my console, the game and actually all other games I played became easy work.

Re: UFC 4: Needs vs. Wants

Okay, so here's a big want. It has to do with commentary.

I want, when you do KO or sub someone (probably not only but here is where I see an issue), attention to be on the losing fighter as well. For example: "Ohhhh, Henry Cejudo has knocked out TJ Dillashaw!" I find that those Name-Name announcements work great in the Tale of the Tape, so perhaps they can be just as smooth here. But I want the announcers to recognise that a specific fighter has been finished, especially if it's a big name fighter. If a Khabib or Jones gets finished I want those guys to absolutely lose their minds about it.

I want the crowd to be roaring as well, not just for finishes but for big moments too. I don't know if the crowd excitement is lacking or there are simply too many "notable" moments to notice currently, but I'd really like it to be very loud in those kinds of moments. This post was mostly about recognising who's who though.

By the way, I remember playing Smackdown vs Raw 2011 on the PS2 and the commentators had something to say if two wrestlers that have some history between them are in a match, they referred to that history. Perhaps something like that can be done here too. That game is 10 years old and it had that on the PS2. I don't know if them acting like what you're playing is a rematch between the two is the best way to go here, but I just have a feeling some easter eggs or announcer awarenesses definitely wouldn't go amiss.

                Crazy part is:

THIS HAPPENS OFFLINE! (With regards to commentary)

When I fight the AI, the commentary is SOOOO much more in-depth and uses so much more dialogue, but if I go in ranked and quick fight it recycles almost the same thing over and over.

I wish GPD could answer and tell me why this is the case.

Re: UFC 4: Needs vs. Wants

I am a total MMA Junkie. I buy everything. However, I will not purchase this game without a deep universe mode where fighters attributes increase and decrease as the universe progresses, 100 CAF slots, and way more CAF options. I’d like to create guys that aren’t in the UFC and test them against the UFC’s best. So I’d need the option to give my CAFs records, not just 0-0 fighters.

My want list is even shorter. Brock, and sharing CAFs.

Actually, I wanted to make this point after an offline fight against Khabib. I don't know, it could indeed be more detailed offline, but I'm pretty sure what I'm asking for now isn't in the game at the moment. I'm actually really into good commentary in games, always curious about how "aware" they are and how much detail can they go to (which is what makes the game immersive, rather than general talk and using pronouns instead of names). So I don't remember being surprised by anything they've said since release basically, offline or online. You could still be right though.

Need: better matchmaking, or whatever has to happen so I stop getting finessed by green bars. As soon as the fight starts my opponent appears to be fighting from a ****ing bunker reminiscent of that from James Bond's Goldeneye.

Since the announcement of PS5 I really hope we dont see the next UFC game until the release of PS5. No reason to waste a brand new game on an old console.

Need: Revamped combo system: I don't want it to return to UFC 2 but has to be somewhere in between for me, the input delay in its current state is pretty unbearable.

Want: More feints, hand traps, power modifier on strikes, better footwork/movement, more positions on the ground and in the clinch. I would also take a weaker roster if it meant more detail in each fighter... get their move sets, mo-cap etc

Another thing I really want changed are forward moving hooks. They always looked off and now I realize the problem. They throw hooks while moving forward in a way that can only be done if your feet are planted irl, the animation should be different. Forward moving hooks should be a lot wider/wilder also leaving more room for error.

Moving strikes in general in this game are a complete mess and break real life physics on a fundemental level.
