It literally feels like the Wild Card rule where superstars show up on different shows for no reason. They could have done much bigger than what they have done with this and for some reason chose not to.
I could be wrong since I'm not totally up to date on Impact, but hasn't the working together just been the PSAs with Tony Khan and Schiavone ****ting on Impact and AEW guys winning matches vs Impact? It's a one-sided "feud" - not much to get invested in. There's gotta be some back and forth.

Impact's world and tag champs don't even work for the company so yeah.

The biggest moment of the "forbidden door" stuff has been Jericho on Austin's show.

But if they want to do a better AEW vs Impact thing, maybe Christian, Daniels, Kazarian, Sting could all "defect" back to Impact.

If AEW gets Samoa Joe, maybe Joe returns to Impact first, making people think he's legitimately back on Impact before eventually turning on them.

How many matches did ECW guys win when Vince started having a working relationship with Heyman in the mid 90s? This is all about reminding people that Impact still exists as a show, because not too long ago they were on Twitch exclusively.

ECW had matches against themselves and then didn’t RVD win a few?

That's not comparable at all. Maybe you can compare ECW to Impact. But the ECW/WWF thing isn't an apples to apples comparison. Bret Hart/HBK/Sid etc weren't showing up to ECW and wrestling on their TV and/or beating their champions. I'm almost certain WWF was pulling better ratings with a bigger audience than what AEW does right now. And Impact's ratings have been roughly the same pre and during this invasion angle.

Against jobbers and then when they (RVD and Sabu) were going to job to WWF mid carders at a WWF PPV, I think, they left IIRC.

Either way the bigger promotion is giving the smaller one publicity/talent to sell PPVs, in exchange for access to their talent. It's not a perfect comparison obviously. This is like if Heyman showed up as HBK's manager, helped him win the title, then they both ran of to ECW with the title and formed a stable of guys from both promotions.

Google tells me this is true. Big jump for Kenny’s first appearance on Impact in December and a small bump for him wrestling a couple weeks ago, but nothing much to mention otherwise. Part of that is on them for not having interesting enough stuff to keep some of those new viewers and part of it is probably that most of AEW’s promotion of Impact is...on Impact. Right now, that “exposure” ain’t doing much.

But obviously Impact’s happy with it and you’ve got to figure Kenny will be on Impact more now, so maybe they can build off the bump from that and build someone up to capitalize on beating Kenny in the future.

That's why I'm saying this invasion/crossover isn't ****. I absolutely understand the intent, but this invasion angle is proving to be pointless by any measure.

I'm thinking you could've done this with:

                      NJPW
                      ROH
                      Impact

If Impact was their only option then they were better off not doing it at all. No one gives a flying **** about Impact and only a handful more know who Kenny Omega is.

NHL on TNT will be happening starting next season.

Sportsnet in Canada (network that airs WWE) already has hockey on Wednesdays.

Tuesday and Thursdays obviously occupied on TNT with NBA.

I'm guessing there's no chance AEW moves from Wednesday's right? 0 reason to have them Monday or Friday and pointlessly compete with WWE. But anything is possible with a 200m+ NHL TV deal.

Tony Khan commented on the NHL move and said it won't impact AEW. Although he said he'd be open to moving AEW after its current deal runs out in a few years. Wednesday feels like a good night to stick with. Monday and Friday are out of the question, and you don't want another NXT vs AEW thing.

Double or Nothing will be FULL capacity at the end of the month!

After that, I wonder what their plans are for shows. Staying at Dailys Place? Going elsewhere? And what might their crowd limits be for those?

I hope its not like WWE where we got a taste of a big crowd, just to go back to the way things were like before, as if that was just a dream, and then wait another 4 months before we get crowds back.

I really wish they try one of the bigger arenas that WWE goes to, they can't keep touring and doing only the smaller venues. I now wonder where All Out will take place now. I highly doubt they can do Chicago.
