I'm sticking with this one. With buying a new home and all that goes with it, I'm lucky to pick up a game every couple months. The last game I picked up new was Fallout, and I'm going with Star Ocean as my next game. I also don't have the time to sit and figure out what sliders I like and test them like I used to. Show 09 looks great, but 08 plays exactly what I'm looking for in the game. I know I won't have the new stadiums and new players, but I'm a franchise guy. I don't want to start over again. I want to hopefully pick my team up over a course of several years and win a championship somewhere down the line, so expect to see this franchise continue for a long time to come. Slowly, but surely. Thanks for following man.

Tigers roar back, erase huge deficit to beat Orioles in extra innings!!!!!
Detroit, MI - The fans that have tickets for this series have been treated with something special the last two nights, good for Tigers fans, not so for fans of the O's. The Orioles blew a 5-run lead tonight only to lose 10-8 on a walk-off home run in the 10th inning. The O's broke a 3-3 tie in the 4th inning when Nick Markakis singled to center field and then Melvin Mora delivered a grand slam home run, his 20th homer of the year to plate a total of 5 runs in the inning for the O's and what looked like an easy victory for O's starter Jeremy Guthrie. The O's knocked Tigers starter Dontrell Willis aroundfor 8 runs on 13 hits in just 3.1 innings before he left the game. If anything learned from the fans of the visitors this year though, they knew it would not be an easy tally in the "W" column. It never seems to be when it comes to the 2008 Baltimore Orioles. This night would be no exception. The Mora grand slam would be the last of the scoring for the O's and the beginning of the rally for the Tigers. The home team would get solo homers from Miguel Cabrera in the 6th and Mark Rivera in the 7th, then Carlos Guillen tied the game in the 8th, belting a 3-run shot off of O's reliever Chad Bradford. The game remained that way until the 10th inning when Tigers newcomer Mike Holliman, who entered the game at shortstop in the 9th, delivered a 2-run walk off home run off of Dennis Sarfate, sending Comerica Park into a crazy madhouse and giving the Tigers a 10-8 victory, one night after winning 10-7. In some Orioles notes, Aubrey Huff went 4-for-5 on the night and pushed his AL batting average lead to .346 and Nick Markakis extended his hitting streak to 14 games. The O's will give starter Troy Patton his first big league start tomorrow as they try to avoid a sweep before heading home to face the Red Sox.

Red Sox Get Key Divisional Win!!!!!
Red Sox win against AL East rival Blue Jays.
Playing at home under the lights, The Red Sox emerged victorious in a 9-6 win over the Blue Jays. Leading the offensive charge was Julio Lugo, who blasted a home run and drove in 5 runs. Curt Schilling collected the win, working 6 innings and giving up 6 runs and 7 hits.
If the Blue Jays are to avoid the sweep today at Fenway Park, they've got the right man on the mound, their ace Roy Halladay (4-12, 4.30), who will face Eric Hull (1-0, 1.50).

O's bullpen woes continue, leads to Tigers sweep!!!!!
Detroit, MI - The bullpen for the Orioles was once again the deciding factor in tonight's game. Also, once again, they were on the losing side of things. The Tigers got RBI's from Magglio Ordonez in both the 1st and 3rd innings off of O's starter Troy Patton to take an early 2-0 lead. That would be all that the Tigers could muster against the Oriole rookie, who pitched well in his first career start. Before leaving with an injury in the 6th, Patton went 5.0 innings and gave up 6 hits, but also struck out 6 batters in the process. The Orioles cut the lead in half with an RBI triple by Brian Roberts in the 5th and evened the game at 2-2 in the 8th on an RBI single by Melvin Mora. Destiny took it's toll on the O's again, Jamie Walker took the mound in the bottom of the 8th and served up home runs from Gary Sheffield and Mike Holliman to make it a 5-2 Tigers lead. Todd Jones then shut the door in the 9th inning to pick up his 37th save of the year, though the O's managed to push across one run on a passed ball by Jones. The Orioles fall back into the cellar as they pack up and head home to welcome the Yankees and Red Sox over the next six games.
