Are you sure your not playing as the M’s in real life...that feels like their past 12-15 years man lol

(Full disclosure: I’m a Seattle fan, so I’m allowed to give my team crap lol)

It sure feels like it most games. To be honest if it wasn't for Braun and Cespedes, I bet this team would have like 10 less wins. I thought about dealing Braun once White is back, but so far he hasn't hit at all. Cespedes I might also trade once I get Kelenic off the DL. He should be ready about late June. We will see.

For sure. At least my fiction Free Agents pickups have given me some offense and Seager is actually playing good in my Franchise and could bring a decent prospect or player back at the deadline, being how I highly doubt we are looking to sign up long term. I am disappointed with how bad Farnce's rating is in the game. I think it could use a little bump

              RAINIERS FINISH 12-15 IN MAY!!

Tacoma finished below .500 for the month of May but still are above .500 Overall sitting at (25-22) on the season and are just 1 game back of the Sacramento Ace's for the Triple AA West Division.

Catcher Cal Raleigh (.289 5 HR 22 RBI) is making a strong case for a callup soon.

19 yr old Julio Rodriguez is also making a statement as he is tied for the HR lead with (5) 2nd on the team in RBI (20) and 1st in SB's with (6) well hitting .256 posting a OBP of .347. He also leads the team in K's with 46.

IF Cesar Izturis Jr is tearing the cover off the ball since moving to AAA. Izturis Jr in 37 AB's is hitting .378 well posting a OPS of 1.074.

21 yr old Andres Munoz is making a strong case as a late inning option with the M's. So far Munoz has saved 15 games for Tacoma welling posting a 1.83 ERA in 19.2 IP of work.

TRAVELERS POST 14-10 RECORD IN MAY1

Seattle's AA Affiliate the Arkansas Travelers have posted a 14-10 record through the month of May and are currently 2 games back of the Northwest Arkansas Naturals (KC) in the Double A Central North.

The Travelers are led by a OF of Dillon Thomas (.275 3 HR 17 RBI) Eric Filla (.330 5 HR 15 RBI) and Marshall Harrington (.253 2 HR 17 RBI, 4 SB) at the plate.

On the Mound SP Domingo Robles has become the Ace so far going 3-1 posting a 2.70 ERA in 33 IP. The 22 yr old lefty could see a promotion to AAA Tacoma should the M's need to call on anyone from the current Tacoma rotation.

Former Miami Marlin SP Robert Dugger also appears ready to make the jump. Dugger actually saw action the the majors pitching 8 games for the Marlins between 2019 and 2020 but posted a 0-4 record and a 7.40 ERA in 45 IP.

So far this season in AA, Dugger has started 3 games going 0-1 well posting a 1.76 ERA in 15 1/3 IP.

                    Game 2- L.A-4 Seattle-0

The M's were held just 3 hits well both Trout and Upton went deep for the Angels.

1B Evan White was 0/7 in his first 2 games but broke out with his first hit of 2021 with a double ending the day 1/3. Ty France and Taylor Trammell got the other 2 hits.

Re: Rebuilding the Kingdom-A Seattle Mariners 2021

M'S AND SANDS COULD BE VERY BUSY AS BOTH SELLERS AND BUYERS OVER THE NEXT 5 WEEKS!!

For GM Ryan Sands the first 6 days of June have left alot of question marks. The M's are currently (30-31) and just 2 games back of the AL West leaving A's well tied with the Angels for 2nd place. and 1 game ahead of the 4th place Astro's.. They are also only 2/5 games back of a 4 place tie in the Wild Card.

So the question is are the M's going to be buyers as they look to make a push at a playoff this season? Or are they sellers as they look to unload veteran pieces to continue to restock the "Farm" as most top prospects appear headed to Seattle in 2021.

                      KYLE SEAGER

Seager is in the final year of his contract and is the highest paid player on the team at 18 million.

Most assume Seager is half way out the door with 26 yr old Ty France is already on the roster and is a Dipoto favorite. France currently has seen action at 1B/2B/3B and DH this season and is hitting .265 with 9 HR and 26 RBI.

Seager on the other hand is having one of the best seasons of his career. He is batting a career high .302 in 200 AB's with 8 HR and 28 RBI. Both his OBP (.368) and SLG (.467) are better then his career avg as well..

Could we see Seager possibly join the L.A. Dodgers and play next to his brother Corey? Rumors are the Dodgers are interested as they can move Justin Turner and Edwin Rios both around the Diamond/Outfield.

                      RYAN BRAUN/YOENIS CESPEDES

With 1B Evan White back from the DL and France still logging some DH AB's as well, the DH position in Seattle has more bats then they need.

Like Seager, Ryan Braun and Yoenis Cespedes are both having career year's.

Braun is hitting .278, leading the team in HR's (16) and RBI (47) he also has a team high 7 SB's.

Cespedes has logged 109 AB's since joining the M's and is still hitting over .400 (.413) well hitting 7 HR's with 21 RBI's. Cespedes has proven in the past 5 games that his glove could still work in LF too..

                      DICKERSON/HANIGER/MARMOLEJOS

With Kyle Lewis, Jared Kelenic, Julio Rodriguez and Taylor Trammell all considered the future. Most assume Haniger would be out the door, but Haniger is playing well hitting .253 with 11 HR and 27 RBI and he has stayed pretty healthy so far this season as well playing in 55 games.

Dickerson was brought in from Miami in a salary dump move, and so far hasn't really had any huge games (.219 4 HR 15 RBI) leading to most feeling like he will be a roster piece for someone come July 1.

Marmolejos is in the last year of his deal, and currently is in AAA Tacoma after hitting just .210 with 6 HR and 11 RBI in his first 100 AB's of the season.

                        M'S ADD ARMS AND SPEED!!

GM Ryan Sands went into the 2021 Draft with the #12 pick and wasted little time adding a trio of arm's and some much needed speed with his first 6 picks.

Sands started in Round 1 drafting K-State LHP Jordan Wicks. Wicks projects out as a front of the rotation starter who posted a 11.6 per 9 K rate this year for the Wildcats.

In the 2nd Round, Sands went with pitching again this time picking RHP Adrian Ramirez. Ramirez looks destine for the bullpen as he currently only has 3 pitches with his Fastball being the only real plus pitch he has.

In the 3rd Round, Sands added 20 yr old Catcher Carmen Ramirez. Rameriez struggled this past season hitting RHP but dominated LHP (71 contact) and could easily make the M's roster as early as 2024 in a platoon role should he find his stroke quickly in the minors.

In the 4th Round Sands added speedy 2B Tom Visperas. Only 19 yr old from Puerto Rico, Visperas top skills is on the base path (76 Steal, 86 BR AGG)

Sands continued to add even more speed in the 5th grabbing another 19 yr old from Puerto Rico in OF Diego Medrano. (82 Speed, 75 Steal, 90 BR AGG) Diego bats from the right side but actually projects well against both RHP and LHP and if he can find his stride early we could see him as early as 2023.

In the 6th Round, Sands tabbed 18 yr old Roger Kapotic. The High Schooler slide down the boards after announcing to several teams he was leaning toward his scholarship to Notre Dame. Kapotic has command of 5 pitches including a 4 seam and 2 seam fastball that rates 93-95, a Slider, Splitter and a Curveball. Some Scouts feel like he projects as a middle to backend of the rotation type pitcher with a ceiling of a #3.

Love the Franchise so far Deuce! Just wanted to drop in and say, if everything goes to plan, you're going to have a NASTY starting rotation in a few years with Gilbert, Kirby, Hancock, and now Jordan Wicks.

Then on top of that, you have Kelenic, Rodriguez, Noelvi Marte, Kyle Lewis, Taylor Trammell, and Cal Raleigh?! The future is definitely bright in Seattle!

As much as it pains me to watch them lose everyday and watch teams continue to throw no-hitters, I do know the future is bright. Giles has been a dominate CP for me even though I know IRL he won't play till next year. I went ahead and have been using both him and Paxton this year.

Looking forward to seeing what you do with the Stars

                              ROLLER COASTER SEASON CONTINUES!!

For Mariner fan's the roller coaster season continues, as GM Ryan Sands and the Mariner Front Office continues to ask themselves "Are we Buyers or Sellers or Both?

After losing the first of 2 games against Detroit, Seattle managed to win Game 3 but then dropped Games 1 and 2 against the Tribe before doing the same in Game 3. That win over Cleveland on the 13th of June however was the start of the M's longest winning streak of the season as Seattle went on to sweep both the Twins (3 games) and win 3 of 4 against Tampa Bay for a 7 game win streak that saw the M's climb to #1 in the AL West Division at (38-35).

However the 1st place stay was short lived as the M's then dropped 6 of their next 7 games including ending June with a current 5 game losing streak to finish (39-42) and drop back to 4th Place in the AL West, 3 games back of the Angels, 1.5 GB of the A's and 1 game behind the Astro's. They are also 5.0 GB in the Wildcard.

However good news could be on the horizon. The M's will open up July with their final game on the road against the Blue Jays before returning home to T-Mobile for 9 straight home games before the All-Star Break. (3 vs Texas), (3 vs Yanks) and (3 vs Angels).

Seattle is currently 26-14 at home this season at T-Mob. The M's also are starting to get healthy, with only IF Donnie Walton currently the only player on the 40 man roster currently on the DL

So now the question is does Sands sell high on players like Ryan Braun, Yoenis Cespedes, Kyle Seager, JP Crawford

Or does Sands look to add to the roster and make a playoff run in 2021, and if so does those players come from within or does Sands look to the trade block and acquire someone not only for this year but maybe the future as well?

                                THE FUTURE LOOKS BRIGHT!!

When you live in Seattle, Sunny Bright days are far and few between, but when it comes to the Mariners Farm System. Things are looking good.

The AAA Tacoma Rainers are currently playing about .500 ball at (37-35) and are just 4 games back of the Sacramento Aces for the Triple A West Division.

The AA Arkansas Travelers are in a even better position, as they currently sit #1 in the standings in the Double A Central North at (30-19) with a 1.5 game lead on the Naturals. and a 4.5 game lead on the Wind Surge.

We will have a full break down of each team's stats in a future post..
