Knicks Game 3 - The Swing Game

This was the swing game with the series tied at 1 and The Knicks without Luka Doncic couldn't afford to go down 2-1 with not having home court advantage.

The Knicks had a 10 point lead going into the 4th quarter and things was looking good for them at home. The 76ers would come back and a pair of Embiid FT's tied the game with well under 2 minutes to play. A Porzingis mid range jumper gave them a 2 point lead with 32 seconds to play. The 76ers needed to score here or the game was likely over and Fultz had a pretty good look for 3. The problem was he somehow decided to fade away. The shot still goes in and the 76er was back up 1 with 29 seconds to go. Lebron would of course answer back and the Knicks were back on top by 1 with 20 seconds to go. Fultz had the ball and was able to hold the ball till the final shot if he chose too. He drives the lane with under 10 to go and in between 3 people hits the layup. He did leave 5 seconds on the clock and the game would hinge on this play. Lebron was forced to give it up to KP and he drives the lane and decides to go up for a reverse. Fultz despite being a foot shorter then him gets the block and the 76ers steal game 3. KP will get killed in the media as if you look at the photo it looks like he could have just dunked the ball instead of going for the reverse.

Fultz stat line will not impress you still he was the one that won this game and maybe even the series for the 76ers. Embiid carried the team through the first 3 quarters, Ben and Lebron after monster game 2's was both pretty quiet. Ingles had a off night shooting going just 1 for 8 from 3 and Bol had his usual double double. Justin Holiday was dreadful at SG so changes will be made going into game 4.

Knicks Game 4 - Defense Domination

The 76ers pick up a easy victory here despite a 2nd straight game where Simmons doesn't do much. It was a defense victory as the Knicks was held to 77 points and the 76ers won this in every category rebounds, assist, turnovers and shooting. Bol Bol lead the way with 23 points and 13 rebounds.

Western Conference Finals Preview

Golden State isn't in the WCF for the first time in 7 years and this years matchup could be the best one in a decade. The Lakers are star studded with 4 stars in Ball, Thompson, George and Ingram. The bench is a little weak as Larry Nance got hurt in the opening round and will miss the rest of the season. The Timberwolves have two legit stars in Butler and KAT and two more guys close in Williamson and Wiggins. Jeff Teague is out for the series, but Tyus Jones and Mike James are similar rated players. The Lakers are weak in the post compared to KAT and former 2nd overall pick Williamson so that matchup will likely decide the series. Plumlee is only a role player, but he is a good rebounder and defender. Jimmy Butler is a elite defender, but the PG spot and Wiggins are not. When you look at the Lakers they have 3 top notch defender in Ball, George and Klay.

Eastern Conference Finals Preview

The 76ers are facing a tough Celtics team that are built to stop a team like the 76ers. Everyone in Vegas still expects the 76ers to win the series in 6 games. The Celtics are not at full strength as starting SG Jaylen Brown will likely miss the series along with backups Will Barton and Jared Sullinger. The Celtics down low combo of Jordan and Bamba are deadly on defense and rebounding. Then you have Irving and Tatum capable of scoring 20 + a game. The 76ers will need the Guards to score more then usual as Bol and Embiid will have a tough time consistently scoring 20 on the Celtics.

ECF Game 1

The Celtics dominated on the glass with +18 in rebounds highlighted by Jordan's 19. Tatum has to play well for the Celtics to win the series and he did in game 1 scoring 31 points. The supporting cast outside Ben and Embiid didn't get the job done today. For years the 76ers have lost games with miss free throws and again that was the case today as the Celtics went 17 of 18 and the 76ers 10 of 21.

A similar story to game 1 and the Celtics pick up the win and are +15 in rebounds. The 76ers shot only 7 of 32 from 3 and scored less then 100 points. The series is far from over, but the 76ers have to win the next 2 games on the road are they could once again not make the NBA finals. Simmons is going to have to play better as Tatum as got the better of him the first 2 games. Fultz also has to shoot better then 2 for 10 from 3.

ECF Game 3

The 76ers had a 5 point lead with 8 minutes to go in the game. Three minutes later the 76ers still had a 5 point lead and that would be extended to 8 when Bol Bol hit a wide open corner 3. The Celtics would cut the lead to 4 with back to back 3's and 2:24. Sexton gets a steal and a layup and ices the game with 1 minute to go and the 76ers win the must win game 3.

The rebounding was much better this game as Philly is +5 and both Bol and Embiid finished with 16 each. The game plan was to attack the post as Philly only shot 19 3's all game which was 16 less then Boston. Ben has a near triple and out played Tatum.

ECF Game 4

It was another fairly low scoring game where Embiid, Simmons and Fultz all scored less then 15 points each. The 76ers win comfortable thinks to a huge 4th quarter by Collin Sexton. Fultz isn't 100% so Sexton got a few more minutes then usual and he didn't disappoint. Bol Bol took advantage of Bamba only playing 24 minutes and fouling out and has 24 points and 22 rebounds.

This was a huge win and the 76ers are back in control of the series with it being tied at 2 and 2 of the 3 games being played in Philly. Game 5 will be huge and likely decide who wins the series and advances to the Finals which looks to be against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

ECF Game 5

In a game with to many twist and turns to recap saw the 76ers blow a double digit lead late in the 4th quarter and the Celtics stole a huge game 5. Irving and Tatum once again lead the way in scoring while the two Celtics bigs dominated on the boards. Fultz and Simmons both scored over 20 and Bol Bol grab 24 rebounds in a game which saw a lot of points. This has been great series and it has the feeling this one will come down to game 7.

ECF Game 6

Another game that came down to the end and with a lot of lead changes and its only fitting this amazing series goes 7 games. Joe Ingles picked up the key rebound and then went 1 of 2 from the free throw line. When the Celtics got the ball back they only had 0.3 seconds on the clock so not enough time to get a shot off. For the Celtics Irving and Tatum once again was the offense with both going over 30 points. The Celtics also destroyed the 76ers on the glass 62 to 37. It was a very balance effort scoring for the 76ers with 6 guys in double figures. Jordan has got the best of Embiid this series who hasn't made much of a impact.

The big news is that Jaylen Brown (85 ovr) is healthy and will return in game 7.

ECF Game 7

It was game 7 of the Eastern Finals and the Celtics had just tied the game which shouldn't be a surprise as close as the series as been. The 76ers got the ball back tied with a few seconds on the clock or game 7 would be headed to overtime. Fultz got the ball pulled up a little behind the 3 point line and drilled the shot in Kyrie Irving's face and the 76ers were going to the NBA finals to face the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Ben Simmons had a over 20 points with a triple double and Bol Bol leads with 25 points. Embiid is again nowhere to be found with only 4 points on 2 of 15 shooting. Fultz was limited with a minor injury so Sexton played more minutes.
