TCU has blossomed into a really good team in my dynasty. I think that Texas recruiting has helped them out a lot and the Mountain West generally doesn't provide them much competition. Utah did beat them last year, though, but they still went 12-1. They'll probably lose at most two games this year as well. Plus, Boston College is going down the drain in this dynasty. They have not made a bowl game in the first two years of it.

Boston Beats Rival For Third Straight Year
BOSTON, MA - After a humbling loss to Central Florida at home last week, Boston traveled across town to Boston College to take on the Eagles. The Colonials were eager for a win after being embarrassed and, after falling behind early, the Colonials got what they wanted.
After falling behind 24-14 at halftime and 31-14 nine seconds into the third quarter after Boston College returned the opening kickoff of the second half all the way for a touchdown, Boston fought back, scoring 24 unanswered points in the final half of the game en route to the slim seven point victory.
The key in the comeback was halfback Billy Sims. Sims had a tough week last week against Central Florida and many were questioning whether he should be the starter. He had a tough first quarter today, but exploded in the final three quarters of play as his 241 rushing yards on 35 carries were instrumental in the comeback. Marques Prater didn't have a bad day either as he passed for 292 yards and four touchdowns. Prater is yet to throw an interception through his first two games of this year.
"We used that UCF loss to motivate ourselves to go out and kick Boston College's butt," explained Coach Frizzell. "I'll say we did a pretty good job of that in the second half!"

#19 Texas Christian (2-0) @ Boston (1-1)
Horned Frogs Have Their Way in Boston
BOSTON, MA - The 19th ranked Texas Christian Horned Frogs came into this game facing their first tough test of the season. TCU went 12-1 last year, with their lone loss being to the Utah Utes, who went 9-4. TCU has been dominant thus far in this dynasty, but Boston had the Horned Frogs on upset alert from the first play from scrimmage when Billy Sims took a handoff to the house for an 80 yard touchdown run to open up the game.
TCU's starting quarterback, Mike Allen, was injured on the Horned Frogs' first drive of the game and will be out for the remainder of the season. The loss of Allen did not slow down this TCU offense a bit, however, as freshman quarterback Robert Williams came in to deliver 311 yards of total offense and three touchdowns in the game.
TCU lived off the option as they excecuted it to perfection while Boston had trouble keeping the Horned Frogs from moving the ball. TCU ran the ball 38 times for 265 yards as they made a living moving the football on the ground in the 42-21 victory.
"The option attack is not one you see too often," explained Coach Frizzell. "This is the first time in my collegiate coaching career that I have seen the option used so often and we simply weren't prepared to combat what they brought to the table."

Boston (1-2) @ UCLA (1-1)
Boston Upsets UCLA in Overtime
PASADENA, CA - UCLA scheduled this game as a grudge match to get back at the Boston Colonials, who beat them in the Sun Bowl last year. Both teams got off to rocky starts with UCLA's C.J. King throwing two interceptions on UCLA's first two drives. Billy Sims fumbled an option pitch on Boston's first drive and Marques Prater threw his first interception of the year on Boston's second drive.
However, the pain continued for Boston as Prater threw yet another interception as UCLA jumped up 17-0 in the second quarter. Coach Frizzell had visions of Prater's interception-prone sophomore and junior years and did not want that to happen again, so he let Prater sit out the rest of the half. In came Matt Mayfield, who led the offense up the field, but fumbled the ball on a scramble. Terrance leak, Boston's third string quarterback came in thereafter as he led Boston to their first score of the game with 37 seconds left in the half to make the score 17-3. Unforunately, UCLA used that 37 seconds wisely and kicked a 43 yard field goal to go up 20-3 at the halftime break. Boston had four turnovers in the first half alone.
Marques Prater came back in the second half, refocused, and ready for action. Prater threw three second half touchdown passes as Boston came all the way back to tie it up at 27 and force an overtime. Boston got the ball at the 20 yard line with only a minute left and down 27-20, but Prater led the Colonials all the way down the field as he threw an 11 yard strike to Jake Mitchell with 11 seconds left to force overtime.
Boston won the toss and elected to play defense first. UCLA did not manage to even get a single first down in overtime and was forced to take a 35 yard field goal, which they made to go up 30-27.
Boston had a chance now. A field goal would tie it. A touchdown would win it. Could Boston play in such a clutch environment in a place with as much mystique and pageantry as the Rose Bowl?
Boston easlily made their way towards the goal line, but Billy Sims got a handoff on a first and goal at the four yard line, but had the ball jarred loose from him by a UCLA defender. The crowd roared, but Marques Prater made a heads-up play to jump on the ball and retain possession. However, the play resulted in an eight yard loss as the ball now sat all the way back at the 12. Boston ran the ball on the next play and faced a third and goal from the eight yard line. Slot Wide receiver Jake Miller ran an out route and got open just enough for Prater to throw the ball to him. He caught the ball at the two yard line and leaped into the endzone, giving Boston a 33-30 win at the historic Rose Bowl!
"This is a landmark win for this program!" exclaimed Coach Frizzell. "To come all the way out here to LA and come from behind like that is something to be proud of. We played a horrible first half, but we were amazing in the second half and overtime."
This game marks the first overtime game in school history for the Colonials.
The Colonials open up Big East play next week against fourth ranked West Virginia in Morgantown.

Boston (2-2) @ #4 West Virginia (3-0)
Close, but No Cigar...
MORGANTOWN, WV - You would think forcing three Pat White interceptions in the first quarter alone would put you up at the end of the quarter, right? Well, that was not the case tonight as the Colonials managed only three points off of three Pat White interceptions, all of which Boston got the ball past midfield.
"We couldn't take advantage and it's something we need to work on," sobbed Marques Prater, who didn't help the cause with two first quarter interceptions.
Prater was pulled for Terrance Leak in the second quarter, who did a good job, completing 8 of 13 passes for 93 yards. He stayed in through the middle of the third quarter, when he threw his one an only interception of the day. Prater came back thereafter.
Prater fired a five yard touchdown pass to Jeff Miller with five minutes left and converted the two point conversion to pull within seven points with the score 28-21 in favor of the Mountaineers. Unfortunately, that high did not last long as West Virginia's Victor Finnerty returned the ensuing kickoff 99 yards for a touchdown to go up 35-21.
Boston would not give up, however, as Billy Sims ran in from three yards out with 3:31 remaining. Pat White and West Virginia proceeded to attempt to run out the clock, but White fumbled the option pitch freshman linebacker Steve Lester dived on the ball and recovered the fumble at the West Virginia 44 yard line with 1:51 left in the game.
Boston would get one last chance, but would blow it as Marques would throw his third and final interception of the game on a fly route with a minute remaining. West Virginia got a first down, then lined up in the victory formation for the win.
Boston's standout strong safety Tom Lott was injured in the game and will miss next week's Connecticut game as a result.
Boston will get a relief next week as they take on Connecticut in Boston in an attempt to get back to .500 as the Colonials now sit at 2-3 (0-1).

Boston Earns First Conference Win Against UConn
BOSTON, MA - With several recruits visiting, the Boston Colonials put on a show as they were dominant early on. The Colonials led 24-0 at halftime by virtue of three Billy Sims rushing touchdowns and a 30 yard field goal by Jake Manning. The Colonials were playing great and there was no reason to believe they would not win at this point.
"We were on top of the world at that point," Coach Frizzell joked. "It seemed like we could do no wrong in the first half and we were consistently and methodically moving the ball up the field, yard by yard."
Boston got the ball to begin the second half and were well on their way to going up 31-0 when Marques Prater threw an interception out in the flats which was ran back 76 yards by Connecticut's Mark Dawson on the board, ending the possibility of the first shutout in school history. Connecticut attempted the two point conversion, but failed as the score was now 24-6.
Boston responded well with a 35 yard wide receiver reverse for Joe Harley to go back up 31-6, essentially putting the game away with two minutes remaining in the third quarter.
However, Connecticut would not give up as they tacked on a 38 yard field goal before the end of the third quarter to make it 31-9. With five minutes left, Connecticut scored yet again and managed to make the two point conversion to pull within two touchdowns with the score 31-17. However, that was all that she wrote as the Huskies could not mount any more offense. Boston ran out the clock to preserve the win to move to 3-3 (1-1).
