        yes!

the fact that were playing a College Blueblood only wants me to see that gave live.

Are there going to be any hook and laterals?

and what ever happened to this?

I'm expecting high scoring and plenty of poor defensive play in this game.

Well, I think the expert coaching of Coach Frizzell boosted Boston to new heights because Frizzell is such a spectacular coach!

Seriously though, the passing game and the offense in general were so efficient that it allowed my defense to be lousy and for me still to win. Of course, a couple of guys named Chad Kemp and Eric Callahan were key to that success. Plus, when my defense actually decided to show up on occasion, we usually won.

And that is most likely what we'll get. We shall see when I play the game tomorrow!

                Signed In-Season Recruits - 2008 Class

                Clay Parks - MLB - Bellville, NJ - 4*
                Rodney Hill - CB - Lindenwoold, NJ - 4*

These guys should help our defense right away next year. I had my eye on a four star halfback, but he slipped away. Whatever the case, I'm not disappoitined.

Vitalis Sun Bowl: UCLA (7-5) vs. Boston (8-4)

                    Holy Cow!!! Boston Wins!!!

EL PASO, TX - The Boston Colonials have done something no team has done so far in the BCS era, win a bowl game in their first three seasons (thanks Watson!). The Colonials have beaten the UCLA Bruins, who came into the game 7-5. Boston was slightly favored, but it was basically a toss up as Boston was favored by only two points over the Bruins.

The game started wildly with Boston's Eric Callahan returning the opening kickoff to the 38 yard line. Boston proceeded to drive straight down the field en route to a Chad Kemp-Eric Callahan connection in the endzone, their 20th hookup for a touchdown this season. UCLA took their first play from scrimmage 76 yards for a touchdown and the game was tied at seven. Both defenses played terrible on the opening drive of the game, but they would tighten up and the game would be a doozie.

Boston hooked up with Eric Callahan two more times before halftime as Callahan had ten receptions for 155 yards and three touchdowns in the first half alone! That's a Heisman winner for you! However, with Boston up 21-14 and inside the redzone in the waning seconds of the first half, Chad Kemp threw away a chance to make it 28-14 when he threw a costly interception. On the same play, Eric Callahan went down. He would miss the rest of the game. Freshman Jake Mitchell also went down on the same drive. This made Boston two short of wide receivers and Boston only had four wide receivers on the roster at this point as they definitely lacked depth.

These losses devastated Boston's offense in the second half as the offense was not nearly as potent, only scoring one more touchdown in the second half after scoring three in the first half. UCLA came storming back in the third quarter to seize a 24-21 lead as Boston's offense was getting very stagnant. Then Stephen Harris ran in from nine yards out to put Boston up 28-24 with a minute left in the third quarter.

UCLA countered with a field goal with only four minutes left in the game to get within one as the score was 28-27 in favor of the Colonials. Chad Kemp tossed up a deep ball which was intercepted with a little under four minutes remaining, giving UCLA the ball back. UCLA completed a pass to get to the eight yard line when Bruins quarterback C.J. King was blasted by Mark Moore on a quarterback screen pass (trick play where the HB gets a toss and throws it back to the QB) causing him to fumble the ball. Safety Jeff Smith picked the ball up on the run and ran it back all the way for a 92 yard fumble recovery touchdown with three minutes left, the first fumble returned for a touchdown in Boston school history. The touchdown put Boston up 35-27.

"That was a thrilling moment!" exclaimed Jeff Smith about the fumble return. "I knew we were going to win this game when I returned that fumble. No one was within 20 yards of me when I waltzed into the end zone easily."

UCLA failed to get another drive going and Boston managed to run off the rest of the clock as Boston won it's first bowl game in school history over the UCLA Bruins! Coach Frizzell was soaked with the Gatorade jug and the Boston fans who were in attendance stormed onto the field to celebrate with their team.

"We came out and played exceptional football," explained Coach Frizzell. "UCLA is not a USC or Oklahoma, but they're a decent football team and we knew we would have to play our best to beat them. We battled back despte losing Eric [Callahan] and Jake [Mitchell]. Our defense came up with some big plays like Jeff's [Smith] fumble return and we played our hearts out. This was definitely a successful season for us. Finishing third in the Big East Conference is not an easy thing to do and beating UCLA in the Sun Bowl isn't either. We lost some key players this offseason, but I think we'll be fine. I hope to compete at the same or a greater level next season! Now I'm off on the recruiting trail!"

Well, I don't know about undefeated, but we'll shoot for it! We may actually drop off a bit to seven or eight wins with Chad Kemp and Eric Callahan graduating. However, our defense should be better, so we could win 10 or 11 games. We shall see.

                              Coach Frizzell Accepts Contract Extention

BOSTON, MA - The Boston Colonials athletic department was thrilled with this season and has offered Coach Frizzell a three year extension. His current contract would run out next year. Frizzell also received offers from Notre Dame and New Mexico, but he decided to remain in Boston.

"We have something to build here," he said, "and I'm not leaving until it's finished. And it won't be finished until we win the national championship. And even then I don't want to leave. I love it here and see absolutely no reason to leave."

Frizzell also received a pay raise. He was getting $250,000 per year under his previous contract. Now, he'll make $500,000 from here on out and could get another pay raise and bonuses if he performs well.

In other news, Boston has improved from a two star prestige school to a three star prestige school after a 9-4 (4-3) season. This will most definitely help in recruiting.
