I'm going to predict the Bills or Jets are the first team to take a receiver. If that's the case, Patterson will be the pick.XBOX Series X Gamer Tag: Alsbron -

Ya but let's be honest - just about every position on the roster could be upgraded for the Jets. So is that really saying much? They could easily draft a receiver.XBOX Series X Gamer Tag: AlsbronComment

Re: 2013 NFL Draft Discussion
The Jets still have Holmes and trying Hill out. They could use safties, corners, linebackers, offensive linemen, a running back, a quarterback, and a TE.

Re: 2013 NFL Draft Discussion
The more I watch of EJ Manuel the more I like him. He could end up being a pretty good player.
Watching Tyler Bray with Gruden was so frustrating. Bray has all the talent in the world, but he just doesn't get it. As a QB, you have to be able to win games above the shoulder and Bray can't do that.Tennessee Volunteers

Re: 2013 NFL Draft Discussion
I agree completely on the subject of Bray. He's so talented, but he can't seem to put the mental side of the game together.
As for Manuel, I don't think that there's anything that separates him as a 1st or 2nd rounder. In my mind, he's a 3rd-4th round talent. He played with a stacked defense in an average conference, and he constantly underachieved. He has a strong arm, but he's much too conservative for my taste.Cup or Bust (NHL 13)

Re: 2013 NFL Draft Discussion
He's going to be a steal if he falls out of the second round. I'd take him over Ponder, personally. I loved Ponder in college, just thought he was a reach in the first, I just like Manuel a little more and believe he's more talented.--

How can people be so high on Manual when he....
-Isn't accurate. This is the one trait that correlates to success in the NFL more than any other. You have to throw into tight windows with defenders draped on your receivers. Manual played with superior athletes in an average conference and still struggled to put it on the money.
-Lacks awareness / anticipation.....
-Constantly underperformed in big games.....
Those knocks right there knock him out of consideration in the first few rounds for me. My thoughts are I'll take Barkley with all his limitations over Manual, because I know I'm getting an accurate arm and a kid who threw with anticipation in college.
Just my two cents.XBOX Series X Gamer Tag: AlsbronComment

Re: 2013 NFL Draft Discussion
Am I the only one not seeing a QB worthy of a top 10 pick this year?
I just don't see it. Now I haven't studied these QB's in depth, but I saw a couple games each of Manuel, Geno, and Barkley. Barkley is the only one of those 3 I've watched and thought he could be a starting NFL QB. Plus I think the teams looking at QB's could really use other positions just as much.

Re: 2013 NFL Draft Discussion
The question is...are any of those 3 Franchise Quarterbacks? By that I mean are they good enough to elevate a Franchise from bottom barrel/middle of the pack to being a consistent contender year in/year out?
I feel like there isn't much separating everyone in the Draft or a difference between someone going in the Top 10 and someone going in the Bottom 10 of the 1st rd.#RespectTheCultureComment

I wouldn't say EJ has underperformed in big games. He won what I think 4 bowl games, against Clemson last season he put up an Heisman performance, etc. His accuracy isn't quite there but it improved drastically senior year and with more consistent mechanics it can improve again in the NFL.
I've never been his biggest fan, but he's got a ton of potential with his speed/size, arm strength, and phenomenal leadership skills. 1st round talent maybe not because he may not start right away, but I would certainly live him in the 2nd or later if I was a teamSaints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment
