I really, really want a corner but I feel like the only one worth taking that high is Darqueze, but there are probably some later (someone like Joyner) that we could wait on.

I love Darqueze, but not at that price. Joyner reminds me so much of Winfield. We have to get this defense up to par, man.

I agree with much of what you're saying, bob. I just think that if they identify a guy who they believe in to be a franchise QB, take him at 8. This especially is why I want them to bring in an offensive guy like Wisenhunt. Have your new coach come in, identify a target that he thinks he can work with, and if you find a guy who you think can be your franchise QB, you have to take him.

A franchise QB can cover up so many issues, just look at Green Bay this year. (Granted, Rodgers is more than a franchise QB, he's all world, but the point still stands)

If you look through all the guys in the draft and don't see a franchise quality QB, then obviously draft defense, but I'd be surprised if they didn't find a guy or two they believe in in this draft.

Vikings have been given permission to interview Norv Turner.

Some other names that Zimmer is supposedly looking at are Kyle Shanahan and Mike Mularky.

I really hope it will be Turner.

Well it was turner. I wonder if our offense will finally have a wrinkle in it.

Also who likes AJ McCaron? Not as a first round pick but maybe a 3rd rounder or later? I think he has most of the tools he needs to turn into a reliable starter in the NFL with some work.

I hope they get aggressive and go after one of the top rookie QBs in the draft, even if it means trading up. We're literally going nowhere if we don't close the gap, at that position, in the division. With the rookie wage scale, it's worth it to swing for the fences at the position because the contracts are no longer franchise crippling.

Look at the teams that made the playoffs this year. None of those teams have patchwork situations at the position. I understand that we have holes elsewhere, but it honestly doesn't matter how good our defense is if we have horse **** QB play for another season.

I was just reading Dan Patrick's Interview with Adrian Peterson and he said that he hopes we don't draft a quarterback because he believes Cassell is who we need. He did state, however, if we do draft one, he hopes it's either Bridgewater or Manziel.

His second order of business should be to get Peterson at least 25 carries a game, after we improve our interior line during the draft.

Khalil Mack or Anthony Barr would be great.

Don't know how I feel about CJ Mosley though.

The only QB who Imo has the highest floor is Bridgewater. That's the only QB I want the Vikings to get if they Draft one first round. If he is gone then you can still pick someone up in the second or third round.

Bridgewater, IMO, is the best quarterback in the draft but this isn't the 2011 NFL Draft Class where you have two quarterbacks who look like franchise quarterbacks (Newton and Mallet) and than a bunch of projects that may or may not pan out. This draft class is extremely deep with potential starters at the quarterback position falling to the third day of the draft.

Right now, if Bridgewater, Manziel, Bortles, Gilbert or Mack are there, I can see us going that route. If none of those three quarterbacks are there, IMO it would be in our best interest to move back.

I don't want manziel. I would go berserk. I disagree with moving back. I believe kalil mack would be perfect at number 8. He is a pure beast and if he is still there pull the trigger and get a much needed position on def with a high ceiling player like him. If he is there I hope to god the vikings get him.

I don't want the vikings to reach on a QB again in the first and the only qb I see being a first rounder is Bridgewater. Manziel and Carr Imo shouldn't be a first round pick.
