Re: Minnesota Vikings Official Team Thread

Heard Shariff Floyd got hurt; hopefully it's not too bad.

Looks like Patterson had a good night. 4 for 54. Targeted 8 times though. Obviously without watching it's impossible to know if he had a chance to catch any of those. Nice to see him with a good kick return to open the game with.

Nice to know we have a competent backup in Cassel. Didn't see him play, but his line looks good.

(Didn't have a chance to watch the game.)

I'll be honest, I like Cassel. I was happy when we signed him because I feel when he's healthy, he can be a solid starter.

To me, the thing that I seen that made me the most excited was Zach Line's 61-yard receiving touchdown. I loved him at SMU, and he helped win me a fantasy college football league 2-years ago .

I've seen that Floyd could walk off on his own power, so it wasn't as bad as it may have looked.

He helped carry my team. One year it was Joe Webb, the next year it was Zach Line.

I see another 10-6 season. Maybe even 11-5. Our schedule is brutal, but I have faith.

I expect us to be at least 3-3 in the division, beating the Lions twice and the Bears once. If our defensive line stays healthy and Cook stays out of trouble, I can see us picking up at least one against Green Bay.

I was really impressed with Patterson and Burton last night. Patterson has a few shaky routes, but I see big things from him.

Burton was fantastic with some nice catches and he had did some text book downfield blocking on the Zach Line TD.

I would have liked to have seen Ponder get another series but he will play more next week.

On the Floyd injury, I was listening to KFAN today and they said Floyd is fine and won't miss any time. Had it been a real game situation he would have come back in.

With Zach Line, do you guys think he will make the roster with Felton there? I like him and say make him the second TE opposite of Rudolph if he can handle it and maybe start to run 3 back sets with Adrian, Felton and Line in the backfield.

If we had it my way, we'd run with Peterson, Gerhart, Felton and Line. I'd personally like a fifth, a change-of-pace, speed-type back just to have in our back pockets, though.

He might be the odd man out simply because of numbers. TE's will be Rudolph and Carlson, and the FB's are Felton, Asiata, and Ellison. Ellison sort of plays some TE as well.

Line is interesting, but I think he might get left out unless he really keeps it going in the pre-season. I've heard the coaches love Asiata and he was on the team last season so he knows the system.

I think Line ends up on the practice squad to be honest. I am rooting for him because he's the underdog, but it's pretty tough to make a team as a undrafted guy, especially when he's at a position where there are 2 locks, and another guy with NFL experience.

What's the status of Jarius Wright? I haven't heard much about him so far. Hopefully that's a good thing and he's just plugging away and working hard. I liked him last year, hopefully he takes another step forward this season.

Apparently has been doing great during workouts but was hurt for the last preseason game so didn't play.

He played and had 1 catch for 10 yards. Two total targets. He didn't play much however.

I think Wright is going to really have a good year. He showed promise last season and the addition of Patterson and Jennings can only help him in terms of getting open and not getting double teamed.
